Bedard now had caught up his points = gp 51 each
I will guess that he finished this season with a few more points than gp

Previously I posted league leaders in points McDavid is a late charging thoroughbred; for a while earlier this season Kucherov had the lead but MaKinnion is on top for a while now

Going into action tonight;
McKinnon. 111*
Kucherov. 107
McDavid. 103

Maybe you play lottery and more loose than win, right? So take your best guess this is strictly gentlemen no betting
* McKinnon two points tonight so he sits at 113

That is two wins too much and why we have lower percentage to win better draft slot

98 & 23 look like Kane & Cat

My first thought was Savard and Larmer. But then again, I'm old.

I saw Jones leave the game a few minutes before the game was over. Anyone know why?

Bedsy watching Kurashev from the press box showed him Kurashev's tendencies. Since Bedsy came back form injury him and Kurashev have been on most nights

Definitely!!! 4 point night. I know you're not a Kurashev guy Fatty but any willingness to recant?

I get his numbers are a big reflection of paying with 98 but the guy has some skill.

- HawkintheD

Not really lol. Gotta give him credit for somehow being the only one who understands to shoot the puck when Bedard is on the ice because there will be space. I think he's more this year's Taylor Raddysh then taking a major step forward.

Otherwise not super impressed. if he's a 50 or 60 point player next year I'll eat crow but I don't think that'll happen.

I saw that too. He wasn't grimacing and seemed to be just talking to his teammates on the bench as he went out.

MacKinnon has been a force this year. Should definitely win the MVP. He's playing close to 23 minutes \ night not only scoring but eating the other team's best players alive most nights.

Well it won't hurt to win a few more games to help with the confidence. Unlike the clear 1 and then 2 and 3 (which were reversed last year in the order they were actually drafted), 2024 seems much wider from 2-6 which is where we will likely be drafting. I'm not feeling the mojo for 1... Methinks we'll end at 2 and be bumped up to 3.

Anaheim looks terrible and they are without Zegras and Carlsson and traded Henrique. We could conceivably pass them although 8 points in 16 games (17 for the Ducks) is a toughie.

The way the Sharks gutted their roster, I can't imagine not winning more than them in this 16 game stretch.

Back of your mind you kind of sort of…you know…..could this happen again? If it does then strong down the middle with Celebrini #2 center is the best way to start. A tier one top center or top dman, right!

I am guessing that Kk and Vlasic are solid top two pair type. I hope and will predict that Del Mastro becomes a solid pair two Kaiser is the offensive guy in pair three. Phillips. Crevier anyone else battles for third pair Rinzal might become good enough for top two pairs but when is that? Two three or more years away. So if our draft slot round one is not so good maybe instead of the next best forward KD likes…he opts for a. Dman? Obviously a dman with ceiling for top two pairings

My brother, the true lifetime hockey fan told me last week that with the Winter Classic here next year, we can bank on winning the draft lottery again.

That has Bettman written all over it.

And let the conspiracy theories begin.....

McDavid has Drai
Crosby has Gino
Kane had Toews

KFC needs to find a stud to take the pressure off of Bedard. Not sure if Celebrini would be the answer.

Good point
But you also have to consider if not right away you have the bookend for Bedard, do we at least have pretty good player flanking Bedard and flanking Celebrini? Until we can replace them with bookends,

@CHGO_Blackhawks
Seth Jones is not hurt. He served Petr Mrazek's 10 minute misconduct. Per Luke Richardson.

Woke up to see a beat down, didn't expect that!
Bedard 5 pt night, hopefully 1 of many to come.

Blackhawks now drop to 2 at tankathon.

Just watched the highlights on youtube.

One of the more impressive plays Bedard made was right before his goal.

Jumped in to help Foligno with the puck battle and knew to find open ice because Kurashev was coming in. Had enough brains to know he had to get out of the way to get the puck for a shot on net.

Reminded me a bit of his goal against Tampa Bay earlier in the year.
Make a nice play on the puck to get it to a linemate, get open and score.

Like i said last year, the wins are fantastic, don't try to control your destiny, most likely top 5 pick and if the scouting department has done their homework and is good at what they do, the player we are meant to have will be drafted.

I’m going into the draft lottery thinking the Hawks will draft 3rd or 4th. If they get 1 or 2 that will just be a nice bonus.

Let's temper our enthusiasm. We have played some really bad teams recently. Bedard is great. Kurashev is decent, but I am not sold on him being a 1st line player.
Looking at next year. You have Bedard as a top line player. Hall a top six. Kurashev and AA middle six. Richardinson Foligno 3rd liners. Donato a bottom six. After that we are guessing. Reichel will get another look, and like Kurashev may develop into a good player. He will only be 22 next season. They will have a top 4 pick that might make the team. I imagine they invest in a middle six player with potential.

Seen 2 things I never thought I'd ever see.

1- I believe I actually saw the puck frozen on the boards and then a faceoff -that was positively shocking...

2 - Ok, the wave???? Did someone forget to send the crowds a memo - Chicago crowds -NEVER- did the wave; in fact that was a point of pride. Crowds at Mets' or Cards' games did that stunty crap. To be sure, and I think it was at a club game at U of I in the mid 80's - when their smallish crowd did the wave, and I was the only guy in a section --- I got booed for not joining their wave. I considered it to be 'St Louisy' ... I stand by that. . .

Bonus points- so they shifted the overly enthusiastic 12 year old school girl, to a (still too enthusiastic) 15 year old guy. Can't the AI just come up with a Harvey Wittenberg-esque type voice? That guy had... gravitas.
