Don’t forget that Kurashev also surprised people by making the Team Canada World Junior squad, and being one of their better players.
If we use that as a measuring stick, we should have some good talent coming in with del Mastro, Allan, and a couple others I’m forgetting. Might take a little while like Kurashev, but it seems a pedigree of cracking Team Canada’s lineup is a significant check mark to attain. - ObeseOprah
Pretty sure he made the Swiss World Junior team. |

I think Entwistle tries really hard, which is commendable, but he's likely a 4th liner at best. - Chunk
We have 9 fifth liners. |

Tonight, #Blackhawks Philipp Kurashev skates in his 250th career regular-season game. He is the 11th player from the 2018 NHL Draft to reach that benchmark.
Nine of the 10 players to already reach 250 GP were among the top 38 picks
Kurashev was the 120th player selected in '18 - LAHawk
I spent most of the last 2-3 years really disliking Kurashev but have to admit occasionally in that pandemic season he put on impressive moves here and there. This year, no doubt having Bedard on his line helps him tremendously. That said, there was a lot of optimism with Hagel, Kubalik, Kurashev, Lankinen and Suter that year as fresh faces. The young'uns eventually ran out of steam. |

Yeah same. If there is an actual Hawk fan advocating for 98 not to be in the lineup, tarring and feathering should be on the table, but there's no way that wasn't sarcasm. - HawkintheD

I can't wait for them to move on from Tinordi. Just so many mental mistakes. - Chunk
There is a reason he had like 140 NHL games over a 10 year period.......he's just not very good. Maybe kick him to the booth or studio, him and John Scott can be the biggest analyst team in hockey.

At 18 he’s comparable to prime Kane but Bedards got a better shot and more dynamic skater.
With a healthy Hall I’d imagine Bedard has at least 10 more pts. - bhawks2241
Hmm, IDK Kane had the best backhand I've ever seen? |

Tonight was his 250th career game. Maybe that means something regarding his game of late. - boilermaker100

I look at whole drafts from time to time and EVERY single time walk away thinking, My God how many of these players I was wrong on...... But, like a blind squirrel I find a nut. In this one it was Dobson but I think I was more against the Hawks drafting Boqvist than wanting them to draft anyone even thought the RS big Dman looked real good with at least a high floor.
He was horrid defensively playing in/for Sveden who's calling card is playing the game right and, although not Finland, plays with structure...... Thought if he won't play right there he won't/can't anywhere. - Mr Ricochet
It's very difficult to project what a 17-18 year old will end up being?

Kurashev is the poster child for “lots of tools but no tool bag”. Flashes the skills at times but just can’t seem to put it all together.

Pretty sure everyone and their mother raised an eyebrow when Boqvist was taken before Bouchard and Dobson. Wasn't an overly great draft class, but there were still better options. I was more disappointed in the Beaudin pick than Boqvist though. - Chunk
That's why i think Levshunov instead of Parekh will be ranked higher on the Blackhawks draft board |

I think he's coming along nicely, way more durable than either Dach and has more points in one season than Kirby. |

I'm beginning to believe he sold high on Kirby, isn't this what we talk about good GMs doing? |

My memory serves that the BOD consensus was for the Hawks to draft Oliver Wahlstrom in the Bovquist draft year. He hasn't exactly panned out yet either.. |

Found this quote from Bedard over at Bleacher Nation. He's talking about playing with Kurashev. Looks like they'll be linemates for a while.
I’m just trying to give him the puck. He’s so good at getting himself open when someone else has it. Man, I love playing with him, he’s so skilled. I think the best part is we’re always talking about plays and or even in practice kind of working on stuff together. That makes it so much fun and makes it a little easier to build chemistry just with how much we’re trying to work together. When he has the puck he makes something happen. And then, like I said, when he doesn’t have it, he’s getting an open, getting in a spot. |

What makes you believe that? I think we need three to five years to make that determination as Nazar hasn’t played one NHL game and Dach has been injured allot. |

McDavid has Drai
Crosby has Gino
Kane had Toews
KFC needs to find a stud to take the pressure off of Bedard. Not sure if Celebrini would be the answer. - Dieselhead
Bedard needs a power forward Brady Tkachuk or sniper like a vantrono imo. |

It seems that Bedard doesn't really NEED anyone in particular on his line. He appears to be able to create for himself quite well. I'm sure it would greatly benefit him to have some top tier players on his line, but considering what he is doing with a 36 yo Foligno and Kurashev, he'll be fine.
What the three pairs mentioned have in common is that for the most part they mostly play on separate lines. So I think it's more about developing and maintaining depth. |

I do agree with that statement, so I'll rephrase it, i think he made a better decision in holding on to Kurashev and trading Dach away. My favorite move of his was crying in the pod cast about how JC handled him.
It'll be fun though if Nazar and Hayes become key contributors in the future, yes i know the odds of that are pretty slim. |

That's true to, i have to admit i prefer how this is working out for us. We can debate all day but Dach is looking like he's from France, fragilee |
