Adam Jecho, C/W, 6'5"
Projected in the low-to-mid teens
Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - November 8th: "He's an average skater who moves well for his size. He can shoot and handle the puck, with a wrister that comes off quickly. He protects pucks well and will make the odd soft area play."
Corey Pronman - The Athletic - November 1st: "His development hasn’t taken off like some scouts hoped when we saw him years ago, but he remains a very good pro prospect. He’s a huge winger who skates quite well for a guy his size. Jecho has good hands and can shoot the puck quite well from range." |

I like this a lot.
Okposo is the reason for every loss the Sabres get from now until the end of time.
When will this man be stopped?! - QuinnFan
Haven't you heard?
28 picked up all the leadership responsibilities since 21 was traded. Perhaps you should ask him when the no-shows stop |

One for Donnie from the USNDTP:
Cole Eiserman, C, projected around 8 (time to start playing Comrie, Donnie)
On the flip side, Eiserman’s off-puck play and ability to find and settle into pockets in the offensive zone, make him invisible despite his reputation as the most dangerous shooter on the ice. His one-timer is an absolute hammer and he knows when to charge the net and find a loose rebound to bury it from in tight.
“He’s a guy that finishes at a high level. You kind of know that when you get him the puck, it’s going to go in. When you play the way I do, with creativity and skill, looking to pass the puck when the shot isn’t there for me, it’s a good fit on the ice.” Hagens said. |

Is there a quick fix to this constant problem for the Sabres? - washedup20
Yeah, fix the forward group now. We need a top6 LW, a 3C (if Krebs can't pull out of this funk, 4C if he can) and a 4RW that is tougher than a coffin nail. Getting Quinn/Sammy back does help balance a lot beyond that.
X Tage Tuch
Petey Cozo Quinn
Skinner X Benson
Greenway Krebs X
Dahlin Byram
Power Joker
Sammy Clifton/RyJo
UPL
Levi
I *think* that team would make the playoffs if the Xs aren't duds.
With all our picks still, Savoie, Kulich, Rosen, Ostlund and Wahlberg as trade bait...it's feasible. As I'm sure it is with you, I just have very little faith Adams can do this, particularly the 1-2LW. Skinner will be back on the top line and one of the prospects will get the call. |

No, it's Okposo's fault or bust. He is sabotaging us from Florida and the league needs to step in. |

Alex Wennberg could be a nice little add but he's kind of what you hope Krebs will be.
I'm starting to like the Logan Couture idea even though he's expensive. If they could get him essentially for free then I'd take him.
Yeah I know he's old and probably broken but that would be a culture shift - and a much needed one |

X Tage Tuch - I don't think Tage is a 1C - for this line to work that x needs to tip the scales significantly to cover for Tage's play.
Petey Cozo Quinn - It's not prudent to rely on Quinn, especially in a critical top 6 role
Skinner X Benson - This line will be an improvement to this seasons 3rd line...which isn't saying much as the Sabres did not have a 3rd line.
Greenway Krebs X - Average for a 4th line at best
That's 3 spots, how many get filled by rookies or a player from a lower line gets promoted? I don't see a quick fix here, especially with Adams at the helm.
Dahlin Byram - 1st long offseason for Byram, lets see how it goes. It's ok so far.
Power Joker - Power is going to carry this pairing
Sammy Clifton/RyJo - not bad
UPL
Levi - Can't rely on either yet as both crumble under pressure.
Barring a miracle or an offseason that goes against all of Adams principles, IMO the product will be very similar next season.

Yeah, I think our collective faith in Adams is pretty low. The Byram trade should be thought of as positive, like or not he took a big swing there and we needed a change. That being said he's done next to nothing positive for the forwards outside Greenway. The D is finished, we need forwards who can run with the bulls and a couple bulls to run against the other team. Let's hope our blind squirrel finds a couple nuts. |

Honestly, I think you're spot on for most of this outside Levi, Quinn and Tage. Tage has shown he's at least capable and with 6 points in his last 5 games, he is starting to dig himself out of the slump. I'm bullish on Levi, his game yesterday was exactly what the doctor ordered, so I'd rather invest assets/$ in other positions rather than goalie. No more 3 headed monsters. Lastly, with Quinn, he was our best 5v5 forward this year (pp60) with a 2.92. Better than the golden child, Mitts, even. He's a big factor on this team we've forgotten about because he's been injured. If he continues to miss time, it's superfluous, but I think he's the tide that helps raise all boats.
Out of curiosity, is there a guy you think would be a great add out of the FA class? I'd say Roslovic for one, but does he move the needle for you at all? |

Roslovic is interesting, where would you play him?
This team needs more than 1 player to come in and shatter the bubble machine environment Okposo worked so hard to implement. The GM and coach won't do it, so why would a player like that join this team?
The self-inflicted problems this team has will only continue, if Tage, Quinn and Levi/UPL find their game under pressure than I agree to your points. No one, not a soul in that organization has yet to accomplish that though, so for me, it's foolish to assume next year will be different. |

Roslovic would be a bottom6er I'd imagine. Not sure if he's a center or winger here though.
And I getcha. It's tough to hope for good things for this franchise. At the same point, that would be a better squad and we are knocking on the doors of a spot as is. If the additions work out and we have a little better health/injury luck, I think we'd be in good spot.
Anyone else you'd target in FA that's feasible? I mean I'd love Stammer to be here, just doubt that's in the cards. |

We would have to start by establishing how much cap space is available and eliminate 15% off the top to stay with the confines of Terry's 85% ceiling. Once it's narrowed down to that, I would then project 2 rookies to join the team next season, Rosen and R Johnson.
After that then you can realistically shop within the budget of the team, who is available in that window, I don't know, that would be where I would start.

Kind of mad Lindstrom slid up so much, he reminds me of Filip Forsberg the way he plays the game. Having a pure shooter, with size, would go very well with our current group of playmakers. He was in that 8-10 area early on in the year, but is most assuredly top5 now.
When's the last time a top10 pick was traded to move up? I can't remember, tried to Google and just has various trade trackers. |

Think there's actually an internal cap? We haven't spent to it, so there's reason to believe there is, but usually those things come out and I just personally haven't heard it. |

Someone posted the spending since 21' and each year totaled ~85%. This season they were supposedly going for it, why would Adams consistently limit himself? |

If they finish:
95 12-0 98.6%
94 11-0-1 94.2%
93 11-1 86.7%
92 10-1-1 72.4%
91 10-2 55.9%
90 9-2-1 33.8%

Wennberg I'm so so on. If you get Columbus' early Wennberg again, I'd do that in a heartbeat but he wasn't liked in Seattle I heard.
Couture, agreed. I think he's still got something left in the tank and he should be able to hack it if given less minutes. Good call there. |

Doesn't necessarily mean there's a self imposed cap, but I know what you mean. The lack of retaining speaks volumes. However, he seems very tied to the guys he's brought in, so may want to leave meat on the bone to resign as well. Petey, Quinn and Byram aren't going to be cheap. It's all I've got. |
