im not bothered by Hyman having lots of success, he was very good with the Leafs, but getting playing time with Mcdavid is a whole other level.
decent players who played with Gretzky also seemed to have jumps in production, go figure |

Sammy > Woll right now and it’s not even close.
all that matters is the right now, Not earlier in the year, not last year’s playoffs. NOW.
And all that will matter before game 1 is that moment right then.
Whomever is the hotter goalie at that moment should start game 1.

I mean, it's hard to compare when Wolls last two games were against Boston with a team in front of him that was literally and figuratively $hitting the bed.
I think they're both good right now, and that's a great problem to have.

Going from playing with AM/MM to McJesus is quite the blessed career.

I get your point but if we just focus on big time saves and soft goals against Sammy has been much better than Woll lately IMO.
I do like both though and it is indeed a good problem to have.
I’d love for it to be a “Price or Halak” problem for that one magical run Halak made for the Habs way back when. |

Sometimes you luck out through hard work and play style. Ask Chris Kunitz. The Hyman before Hyman. |

It would be hard not to be happy for Hyman. He looks embarrassed by some of his goals where McDavid uses him as a bumper to put it in the net. Also McDavid doesn’t seem to want to shoot for whatever reason and that’s great for Hyman. |

it is odd, last season he scored 64 goals..maybe this season he decided he wants 100 assists instead |

He was a little banged up earlier in the season so maybe he has an issue that hinders his shot. He was asked about it in a media scrum and he really didn’t like the question. |

The next 3 weeks determine everything. 5 games prior to injury his sv% was .928, woll was amazing. Im not sure how you factually compare who does the bigger saves or not.
Now, sammie has been great since coming back from his ayahuasca retreat.
So we'll see.
A little caviat though that may come into play if we face boston. Woll last game against boston (pre injury) on Dec 2nd, his sv% was .892. 3 games against boston, all bad results.
Sammie from nov 2nd against boston was .950.
It may just come down to that. |

They showed a clip yesterday of the injury. It looked like the ankle. We've had our share of ankle injuries this season. |

Meh. If they can't beat one, they can't beat any. Beggars can't be choosers. Montreal was arguably the worst team to ever make the playoffs and got to the finals through luck, determination and a goalie performance to show the kids. |

If only the Leafs could get an easy 1st round opponent, like Montreal or Columbus.
