Ha ha, some folks on here NEVER get off that bandwagon. It's like they get off on using the Flyers organization as a punching bag. Kind of strange in reality.
- Phillywhiteout
With all the success the Flyers have had in the last decade. We should be bowling each other over to get on the Flyers bandwagon. Who isn't on board?

I don't think that is correct. I think everyone wanted a clear plan to rebuild. Playoffs are a bonus but I think the fans know this will take time.
Yes there are stooges who just complain. But the smart fans were always behind a clear path to rebuild. - J35Bacher
Hayes and DeAngelo, gone.
Provorov got us two first picks (walking for one first), 2 seconds and a salary dump.
Gauthier for Drysdale and a second.

The kind of player who you would build a team around, correct? - corduroy
Apparently same as the guy you absolutely resign and is a 1c that just got scratched even tho he had 18 minutes a few games ago |

He is a top line winger. Is this another situation where you're going to ignore the facts? - MJL
I’m gonna ignore it same as you ignore you were wrong saying you absolutely resign the now scratched coots. |

All respect due but a lot of folks were okay w signing Coots. Full disclosure I am one of them. He hasn’t played well but you can’t discount being away from the ice for two years on top of the usage for more than half the season.
I don’t agree w the benching but it is what it is at this point. What I don’t like is the fact that Torts didn’t address the media and let Shaw take the questions.

Your ignorance is astounding. Some very key points. The first is that I can factually prove that Konecny is a 1st line player which separates it from being an opinion. Either yours or mine. You can't offer any facts that prove that I was wrong on the Couturier situation. Lastly and perhaps most important is your repeated use the word absolutely. That is incorrectly applied by you based on the fact that I have stated, numerous times, that anyone who believed that the Flyers should've traded Couturier, were not wrong in my opinion. I've stated this to you numerous times. No matter how many times I refer to that fact, it doesn't sink into your brain. So how can it be absolute? Couturier being scratched by this coach has zero bearing on this in my opinion. |

Then say that. Don't embarrass the guy in front of his team, his city and on the national stage. He is, by all accounts, busting his ass trying to get his game back. Don't throw him under the bus when everyone knows you overused him to get you to where you are . - MBFlyerfan
because it sets a precedence the no one is safe from benching? |

Everybody already knows that Torts will bench whoever, whenever.
Nobody needs a reminder.

So here’s a fun question: would you Flyers fans trade Torts for Keefe?
Perhaps the grass is always greener, but I make that trade. |

Random is what it is. Laughton had a long stretch where he was unproductive offensively. Laughton has never been a stalwart defensively. Tippett's play away from the puck is generously horrendous. Tortorella talks about non-negotialbles but he doesn't apply it to everyone.

Tortorella would make a good assistant coach for the Leafs but not a head coach.

I can’t see Torts being an assistant coach anywhere.
At least not for long. |

Agreed but you don't want him as the head coach with the skill level on that team. They need some more defensive structure for sure but not tilted so much to rob that high powered offense.

Scoring dried up while Torts was coaching the NYR. Torts tried scratching and benching players, shuffling lines, and using positive and negative reinforcement but nothing worked. When a writer asked him what else he could do, Torts said ‘pray’. Has he tried positive reinforcement or is he down to prayer?

What is laughable is that Torts ALREADY ran Coots into the ground by playing him so much in the first half of the season. He is running on fumes after being away from the ice for 2 years.
Did you adopt a dog from Torts and have your pic taken with him? Honestly, no disrespect meant but your constant love slobbering over Torts is ridiculous. - Flyfly
add playing 11/7 for as long as he did
