Most of the assistant coaches, and probably don, will be fired.
that's my opinion. - TheSabresTaco
So, interesting comment. Often on here when a poster states what should be done in his opinion,it is often ridiculed based on what will be done in another poster opinion.
I often argue what I would like (should) to see happen, which with this team is overwhelmingly not what does (will) happen.
Regaring Donnie, yes he should get fired, however I'll be very surprised if that actually happens. There should be no doubt about the Assts Ellis and Wilford though. If Adams doesn't demand that happening at least, he's a complete fool. |

Adams isn't even good at that, hired at the same time as Bill Armstrong,
Armstrong has spent $196,725,873
Adams has spent $511,309,128
Armstrong made the playoffs his first year too |

Is the current top 6 good enough to only require new reliable depth support and new quality coaching staff? - washedup20
Depends on which of the Top 6 committ themselves over the summer.
If the do so and return to '22-'23 levels then yes. If they don't and play/produce more like '23-'24 then no.
I still think leadership is lacking and several of the top 6 are considered core players. They then need to begin leading. That remains to be seen who will grab the baton.

Been calling for Wilford's Head for atleast a Year and a half. Thought he would be the easier Assistant to replace since Ellis is a Adams hire. I really can't understand why that change hasn't been made, the Defense has regressed. |

"I believe we are in a very challenging time right now," said Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams during an appearance on "Schopp and the Bulldog" on Thursday, as his team readied to play the Toronto Maple Leafs at KeyBank Center. "I do believe we have to stick together. We have to find solutions and continue to work and come out the other side. I do believe when we come out the other side, we will be stronger for it."

They gave Wilford a chance at the direct expense of the defensemen. It is astounding to me that none of them know how to box out and tie up opponents down infront. Such basics are missing. |

If he's declared to be staying, and they follow that up with "we just extended Donny" I will lose my (frank)ing mind.
What team statistic exists that shows he deserves to stay? They're like 20th or worse in every team category except 5v5 D and goaltending. Like what the (frank).
You're a rush team you (frank)ing chode.

There's No aggressiveness at all, they don't try and take charge of anything. They always let the play come to them instead of taking the Lead, even with puck retrieval. |

This is where the problem began, and won't end until he changes his philosophy.
Ironically, the Bills are in the same boat, they just have a freak QB that could possibly do it in spite of him - joevthree

best thing that happened to the bills and also the worst thing that happened to the sabres is Terrence Pegula
His shine on the Bills will be diminished with all the fees in the new stadium though |

Those are the teams to root hard for
Sabres sitting in 9th, barring changes from the lottery. 8th is possible and low, low chance at 7th if Ottawa could win out.
On the flip side, 9 - 12 is possible as well. |

Who does Terry want from the NHL draft at 9?
Who is he instructing Beane to take in Rds 1 & 2? |
