I think the term "culture" is generally misunderstood. In Buffalo, we have this notion that it means a room full of guys that have good to great camaraderie. Both the Bills and the Sabres have it, and yet only one of these teams have put up results worth talking about, positively at least, and neither have really got to a championship let alone won one.

Speaking for myself, that isn't what culture means to me. That is a "Friendly environment".
Winning Culture is what it should be called, but is shortened to Culture. That Winning Culture means to me the entire Organization is committed to and does everything reasonably possible to win... Owner, GM, Coach, Players. That Culture is non existent in the Sabres Org.

Every great hockey is a story of suffering and great sacrifice. Don Cherry's Memorial Cup win(as a player,) 72 Summit Series for Canada over the USSR, USA Miracle on Ice to name a few and probably thousands more I'll never know. It's just the truth of this game. That's why every great hockey championship celebration looks that way it does. You have to be willing to suffer that pain and still possibly never reach the top. Our club is so disconnected from that concept. Like Rutgers football is from the National Championship or something. |

Where did you see this? Everything I read is that nobody knows how much the tickets will cost, just the PSL.
Tickets were a hell of a lot cheaper league wide back in the 90s. Was there even a ticket that cost above $100 in the Super Bowl era? - buffalofan19
I don't think the PSL for regular seats is known yet. I think only the club level has been announced. According to an article in the paper, 70% of club holders who have been offered a PSL have signed up. Not sure where they got that number though. |

My favorite part about this whole thing is:
The NFL has been doing this for 20+ years with stadiums.
Fans seriously thought the Bills were going to not have PSLs to raise money for the stadium?
All of a sudden this is “new” and magically came up.
Just goes to show you uninformed the fans are and the media loved the topic for click bait for people to listen or read about |

They literally said a lot of the money the Pegulas were putting in was coming from PSLs. I think people freaked when they heard the cost for club seats and assumed that was the cost everywhere. The endzone ticket is not going to have a $50k PSL.

You can make adjustments to the list I found on twitter, the point remains...for a team that planned on building through the draft, missed on players who would actually help win.
Heading into 24/25 season, if the plan remains to depend on draft picks developing and generating wins in the NHL, expect a 14th year of missed playoffs. - washedup20
There were 24 teams that missed on Pasta, 23 on Wyatt and 30(?) some 2x who missed on Bergeron.
Sabres hit on JJP who just turned 22 and was drafted 34... Just needs 2 more goals to join the 30 club.

JJP is by far the best player drafted by Adams. Adams was in the top 5 for most draft picks since 2020. Adams success rate for drafting is very low, other than JJ its non-existent outside the 1st round.

Tbf past R1 it takes a while for guys to make the league in general.
By next year we will have a better idea where he's at in terms of drafting. |

If that ticket had a 5k license and an annual cost of $2,500 with a minimum 3 year commitment, could you afford and would you pay it? |

What will you be looking at to measure successful drafting next year, compared to this year? |

I did say "If" because few people know what the actual numbers are because the Bills are being hella shady about it. |

Yes and no. For me it's a question of value, and going to football games for three years is not worth $12,500. For others it probably is. I could find other things to spend that money on that would be worth it to me.

Are you implying that winners are scum bag people/organizations who hide a lot of horrible things?
These examples are of individuals, not teams. Ovie leads a team filled with bad culture because Kuz did blow?
Mahomes family is bad, so the chiefs locker room is cancerous?
You heard about a fight from a buddy, therefore the entire lightning organization is riddled with poor culture.
While also ignoring multiple teams I mentioned, these are not examples of bad culture. - washedup20
It’s all subjective.
You pretending to know which teams have good culture and which teams do is hilarious.
The only people who know are the 23 players and coaches in that room.

We play better without him. He’s being forced into roles above his pay grade and it shows in his absence |

So we are at roughly 65-66 mil payroll for 24/25 and we need to sign UPL for this coming year to a real deal, correct?
Leaves us at about 17-18 mil to spend assuming UPL signs for about z3 mil? |
