I guess the Rangers and their fans haven’t noticed Rempe isn’t a very good fighter and we have guys on our roster who can fight? We aren’t exactly them a few years back with the Wilson rag doll situation. I’d rather not see fighting to be honest but to think Rempe scares anyone on our roster is laughable. - potvin05
It's not that he scares our roster (okay, maybe Engvall :lol ), it's that it's a bad trade off for the Islanders. Losing Rempe for 5 minutes is no loss to the Rangers' hockey talent, whereas the loss of Martin or anyone else on the Isles' roster for 5 minutes impairs their ability to roll 4 lines. Like I posted earlier, Martin is defensively dependable, as evidenced by his +9 rating. That's impressive on a team that has given up a lot more goals than it has scored this season. |

Looking more and more like a Canes rematch which I want nothing to do with. Much rather play Rangers in the first rd if we make it in… - Cptmjl
Agreed. Isles don’t match up well with those canes. |

I completely agree. It’s just hilarious reading the Twitter cesspool who think Rempe is prime fighting Chara because he’s tall and throws elbows. |

They lose to the Canes again and they better move Nelson and Palms in the offseason and let Cal and MM go. Need to be big changes. This should be the last shot for this same roster.

Remember when Capuano lost all that weight but continued to wear the fat guy shirts? His button downs looked like V necks. Lol |

Rempe is letting dopey fans and dopey hockey people egg him on to keep fighting. They made him a star and he is hooked on fighting now. - ses111
Maybe the Rangers get the Caps in the first round and maybe he has some value to the team in taking on Tom Wilson? As much as I dislike Wilson, I have to admit he has developed some hockey skills over the years. Perhaps Rempe has similar aspirations?

I think most fans would agree but it’s gonna take the ownership to make the GM change. Something tells me they are not letting go of Lou Lam |

Can we at least make the playoffs before we worry about which team we're going to lose to? |

Best thing for his health is to seriously cut down on his fighting. We do not need more examples of what can happen to former NHL fighters.

What makes hockey the greatest sport in the world is the fact that any team can win a series with a hot goalie and sound special teams. |

Anyone who’s being honest will recognize that both players weren’t even seeing each other. 100000% accidental collision |

I've honestly seen more Ranger fans saying it was obviously accidental than not. Obviously there are the usual Twitter trolls that live to piss people off so they can get out their tweezers and beat off (and that's not specific to Ranger fans) but anyone with functioning eyes a modicum of objectivity can see that was a fluke play |

Rempe is OK at fighting because he is so big but man Oliver lit him up. He will fight (probably martin) sit for 5 and play 3 more minutes |

Idk which fanbase is more insufferable tbh. We have the ambulance guy, the yes men (same group I think)lipstick Kim, fedora hat guy, the entire cringe blue and orange army and frank borriali. I mean these people's entire identity are the islanders |

I think more of them were upset about Dobson's hit with seconds left. That could have been called boarding, but I doubt it would have changed much |

He's a non-factor, unless he elbows someone in the head.
Sadly, the Isles can't really afford to get wrapped up in gooning it up because every point is crucial the rest of the way. The points effectively don't matter for the Rangers the rest of the way so if they want to go out there and act like poopheads they can. The Isles can't afford to do that and potentially risk losing anyone to suspension. |

It absolutely should have been a penalty, but yeah I highly doubt they were going to score in the ~7 seconds that were left on the clock, even with a good PP and a terrible Isles PK. |
