I'm near the front of the line of those who are impressed with Reichel's talent and have been since I saw his first shift an 18 yr old playing German pro. I guess all rookies can be a but of a riddle but Reichel takes that a step further for me.
Probably unfair since he's just 21 with 35 NHL games. But with 120 AHL games, 80 German pro games, his showing in the Bigs late last yr and his excellent talent skating I expected a player this yr. ........ Like anyone, if he keeps his nose over the puck he's more successful. Who knows which Reichel we get tonight but it's always interesting when a guy lines up with Bedard.
With Mrazak in goal and Reichel to L1 could be an interesting tilt. - Mr Ricochet
Until Tinordi and Zaitsev take their first shift. |

So fella's what do you think KD is gonna do with Vlasic this summer? Bridge deal or does he roll the dice and go 8x6 or something in that range? |

Was during a line change but they'd still find another way to miss a coverage. .... Liked that stick along the ice steal in his own zone by Reichel.

The Phoenix metro area is 4x the size of Salt Lake City metro. It's not like Utah is renowned for their hockey fandom or hockey talent. Plus Utah already has an NBA team that they would have to compete with. Doesn't make much sense to me. I get the desire to get out of Phoenix, but I don't think the answer is Salt Lake City. - Hawkeynation
I think most likely they move to SLC now\soon because they want the cash and that 5k seat arena is no bueno and then the next expansion team is in Arizona again if they can get a stadium built.
I read they were talking something like 1 billion dollar sale. Thats a lot of monies for a franchise that plays in a (frank)ing arena and is in shambles right now. The Jazz draw pretty well there and a lot of tech money contributing to the growth.
Anyway if not AZ for the next expansion it's probably gonna end up in Houston or something like that. I don't see them going to Canada yet, especially with the Jets crying poor. |

That little chump on St Louis Perunovich was holding onto the back of Bedard’s jersey on that Kurashev breakaway. Still truly hate this team. Love that them, Minnesota, and Nashville will never be bad enough to get that elite top pick. Feels great. |

A don Carter is trying to get a group together to try Atlanta again.
Cleveland was always a strong franchise in the A. When in the NHL the rink was so far out of town no one wanted to go.
Seattle might not like it, Portland has always been a strong hockey market. |

Useless forwards, useless defenders, useless goalies, useless Coaches, useless GM, useless rebuild, there isn’t one positive about this team. Pathetic! |

Atlanta would be the Houston alternative I think. Huge cities and a lot of potential. I think with the right ownership group they could have success there.
Atlanta FC drew nearly 48k last year which is a lot of people. The cost of entry for soccer definitely helps but with the size of the metro area hockey should be doable - problem is the NHL sucks at that stuff for the most part. |
