I have no beefs on the upward surge in Zeev Buium trajectory. just that his average size and his offensive prowess is under a Zayne Parekh.
Sorry I used no forethought in my answer, lol - wiz1901
You were higher on Biuim than I was for most of this yr but seeing him in the tournament sealed it for me. Yes, he's only 6ft 180ish pounds but his elite IQ/skating and understanding the defensive side of the game this kid belongs in the top group of Dmen IMO. He can control games.... I have no problem seeing a Josh Morrisey in Buium.
As far as Parekh it was maybe a month ago I came to not being surprised to see him the first Dman off the board. He's that far above most any Dman offensively in any draft in my eyes.
And I do see a kinda Shea Weber in D!ckinson. A Doughty in Levshunov. Siliyev is as good a skater as anyone in this draft and he's 6ft 7in!!!........ A nightmare to rank thse kids but getting anyone of them you get a helluva player.

I think Zanye Parekh's final ranking doesn't solidify until later the long OHL playoff and we see the goods a bit more in a different ramped up scenario.
(Is that clear?)

Iginla flying under the radar? In his draft yr the kid pots 47 goals and in 6 playoff games he has 8 goals and 11 pts!!....... Yea man, the Memorial Cup playoffs carry a lotta weight.
When, if, Iginla is there at 12-13 I could see a bunch of franchises looking to move up to get him.

In this scenario the Hawks win the draft lottery. If The Sharks were to offer their top two first round picks 2 or 3 and 11 to 13 for Celebrini, do you do it? Potentially the Hawks could draft three pretty good player plus someone who might fall out of the first round. - paulr
This year... I think so. It's not like Celebrini is better than two in the top 10-12, is he? |

The BU goalie is 24 yrs old and the club has 13 NHL draft picks. DU's goalie is 22 and they have 12 NHL draft picks........ The very best hockey outside of the pros.
Buium just looks better each time I see him. Every bit as good as Celebrini in the 1st. |

TANKATHON has SJ drafting 15th if they were to get the #2. I don’t think I’d take that deal. Celebrini is in a tier by himself from what it seems. If the Penguins lose out and the pick IS 11 or so, maybe. But even then I’d want more capital to pass on this kid showing up in October. |

I get that he probably is, I'm no scout, but my few times watching him he's been good, nothing special really though. Nothing like Bedard was when I watched him in jrs. and world jrs

Brady Tkachuk apparently wants out of Ottawa.
KK, TB's 1st and 2025 top 10 protected for him. Add a couple of 2nd for this year and next.
Get it done KD. |

Regarding Buium. Guess it depends on which source you believe. He is listed at 6'2 190 on the DU website and ESPN had him at 6'2 195. Considering his brother is 6'4, I think he is taller than average.
Yeah, he is taller than 6'0 from watching him. |

This BU Denver game is great. Greene and Thompson playing from hawks prospects. |

Haha as much as I like both these kids, Mrazek has been the last man at the Alamo nearly every night. Guy deserves a ton of credit.
That Hutson kid on Boston really stood out. Has some serious skills. |

Tkachuk is awfully good and has a multifaceted skill set but three firsts and two seconds is a pretty steep price for a rebuilding club. |

They are older for sure. One is 24 and only 5'11 and the other is 22. |

They have the picks to absorb it. Still keep this year's first and next year's most likely.
I would do it. Since he is exactly what this team needs and still young enough.
Losing KK is nothing to sweat anyway. Easily replace him in this draft with a better prospect. |

I’d keep Korbustsky and move the four picks. He’d be an important piece for the rebuild, and maybe most importantly he’s only 25 when the season starts. |
