I’m betting he goes the way of Hayes, he’ll wait until he’s a free agent and then sign with another team. - paulr

The way he has been playing as a 19 year old, he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. - breadbag
He was KFC's first big move, he's not going anywhere. |

Iginla flying under the radar? In his draft yr the kid pots 47 goals and in 6 playoff games he has 8 goals and 11 pts!!....... Yea man, the Memorial Cup playoffs carry a lotta weight.
When, if, Iginla is there at 12-13 I could see a bunch of franchises looking to move up to get him. - Mr Ricochet
Tig Iginla will never be considered an elite scorer but he seems to be a impact player, who leads, never quits and makes the guys around him engaged all 60 minutes and better.
If you select him, you get that, but don't look to him being Will Smith, Logan Cooley, or a Tkachuk, just someone who makes your team better. |

I really don't know if he should stay at Michigan or sign with the Blackhawks. He looked good, one of the better players on the ice for Michigan last night. Funny how a defender gets caught in deep and before you know it is 1-0.

Seriously.
If the Blackhawks could get Ottawa's Brady Tkachuk who is signed 8.2 million until after 2027-28, I offer up that first overall right now...no wait for the lottery, throw in a defender and a goalie prospect Stauber) too.
I think this kid can easily be the meaner, engaged score than we have even seen so far, and as dominant shift to shift as big brother in Florida.
And Bedard has a linemate who plays with him enough that they don't need the other policeman Tinoirdi.
And Fantilli long term of Celebrini from what I have seen of both. |

I was thinking of you when he was lighting it up in the playoffs. Love players like Tij.

Love him or hate him Tinordi will drop the gloves with anyone. Tkachuk picks his spots, I’ve seen him and his brother refuse to go and worse turtle against the tougher guys. Don’t get me wrong Tkachuk has all kinds of attributes I like and I’d love to see him on the Hawks but he ain’t a policeman. |

Saw him last season when he was with Seattle. Though him as a "JAG".

"Nazar is impressive to me. He gets around the ice and really seems to read the play well... It's exciting we might have a chance to have a look at him — we're not sure yet. I'm sure it's disappointing for him not to be in the finals, but I think he had a really great year, so that's looking good for us." |

I suspect there’s a few meetings with the scouts, coaching staff and KD trying to figure out the best course of action for Nazar. There’s no real hurry at this point, but I’m sure they, and us would like to see him in the lineup if he’s ready. |

I just think he is the most aggressive long term when the chips will be done, we just haven't seen it much in the bigs yet.... |

Paul, I was going to post about both Tkachuk brother picking spots but no need, you nailed it. I don't feel they are legit like their old man was in my opinion.

Last thing I saw involving Tkachuk was a post game TV interview this week where he said his goal was to win the Cup in Ottawa. That was just after he chased Hischier around for scoring in the empty net just before the horn sounded to end the game. So where does the 'I want out of Ottawa' thing come from??
Really like the kid as a player and team leader but never as a policeman/fighter. Thats what idiots like Ryan Reaves do.
And Ottawa would have to hit a jackpot in the return to justify that trade to their fan base. |

I am interested to see how that bottom 6 looks in this game. I was feeling like Slaggert - Entwistle - Donato was working well as a 4th line. Slaggert might fit in well with #16 & #15 too. |

Someone brought up the rumour Tkachuk wasn’t happy in Ottawa, I was just running with that. Ottawa have him locked up for four more years, so he has no leverage to get a trade done. And it gives Ottawa time to try to put a winning team on the ice. |
