Probably Florida, as we'd be silly not to take this. 4th or no. |

glad we have opposite sentiments. What exactly has Lundell done so far that warrants the value of assets in return

“I would like to thank Don for his time in Buffalo and commitment to the Sabres organization,” Adams said in a statement. “He has been integral in the development of many of our players and has undoubtedly been the right coach to bring us to where we are now, but I felt it was necessary to move in a different direction at this point in time. My expectation is to be a consistent contender and unfortunately that goal has not been met.”
I know I should brace for the (frank)ing Seth Appert era, and there's no faith that Adams will identify the right guy, but this at least gives me SOME glimmer of hope.
Those words, in the middle of his statement - IF HE MEANT THEM THE WAY I HOPE HE MEANT THEM - are telling. |

The GM cried about having to trade Okposo. Does the coddling not start with him? |

I think Jokiharju has some value, and obviously the 2nd does, but Krebs has absolutely none |

Yes, absolutely.
It would be a good day if Pegs showed up at the 3:00 Presser to begin his remarks with
"I'd like to thank Kevyn Adams for his dedication to the Buffalo Sabres organization over the past years. He was the right man for the job at the time we hired him as GM and assigned his first task of firing nearly everyone in the Hockey Operations Dept ... He did so well he even fired the head of IT without being told to do so! " |

During the 13-year playoff drought in Buffalo, the #sabres have now churned through seven head coaches: Lindy Ruff, Ron Rolston, Ted Nolan, Dan Bylsma, Phil Housley, Ralph Krueger and Don Granato.
They're now looking for No. 8.

The 44pt rookie season was big. But personally, I don't see Krebs, Joker or a 2nd rounder being high value assets either.
We're basically taking a 5-6D, a 4C and a 2nd rounder to get a perfect shutdown 3C IMO. He's good defensively (+53 in his career) and could maybe get you 45pts in that spot with some decent wingers, something we can actually supply him shortly. He may have to get strapped with a rookie to start but if it's Kulich, Savoie or Rosen, it'll be an upgrade from Nick Rat Cousins. |

I don't need Krebs anymore, but this team needs to decide whether they want him as an offensive center or a defensive one. Because the offensive version stinks.
Lundell is fine, he's had a reverse trajectory. Wonder if it's buy low or he's just a guy. And I'm sick of 'guys'.

I'm willing to bet Joker's value is higher than we may perceive.

I ran into an old friend during the eclipse, and he was with his 13-year old son whom I had not seen in several months. I asked the kid if he's heard any good jokes and he says:
"What's the difference between an refrigerator and an a$$hole?
A refrigerator doesn't fart when you pull the meat out of it".
That kid is going places in life. |
