Quennville loves his vets, so he would be a good reason to have him.
Now that Kane has proven his high level utility, his contract value will follow.
Hell, bring him in as 1RW and push Tuck and Quinn down. I'm in.
Then go sign Stamkos in FA.
Lastly, Package the 24-1st, retain 40%, throw in a prospect and move on from Skinner's $9m
THAT is how a good org would do it.
Peterka - Tage - Kane
Benson - Cozens - Tuch
Kulich - Stammer - Quinn
Greenway - Krebs - Rosen
??
Byram - Dahlin
Power - Samuelsson
Johnson - Cliffy
Bryson
UPL - Levi - IonSabres
Chicago may be interested in the Skinner deal and Stamkos and Kane would be good additions for you. Also, maybe a veteran goalie and another good veteran D assuming you got the cap space.

91 point season and missed by 1 game.
You should be celebrating them - sbroads24
I mean you were on your knees blowing Doirion and Yzerman for how active they were this offseason.
Tired of getting dog walked by Kevin and Chad on Twitter that you have decided to start blessing us with your presence again ? |

When you constantly move the goalposts, you're never wrong about anything. - sbroads24
What goal posts did I move ?
The Sabres missed the playoffs, I was wrong.
I admit when I’m wrong and face the music, I can’t help that I shoot nearly perfect from the floor and that I’m hardly wrong |

Detroit were this year’s Buffalo from last year
Literally no one here was selling Detroit as a playoff team yet here he is again, patting himself on the back.
I bet he turns to marvel at his own poop in toilet when he’s done, he probably has daily photos of his own poop saved in a special folder on his phone called “things I have accomplished”. - Jet Jaguar BD
There were several, and they know who they are.
Like I said before, I can’t stand hypocrites.
The young, dumb, retard, whack job conspiracy theorist time and time again comes on here and tells you what’s going to happen months in advance, gets called an idiot, then when it’s time to pay the piper there are crickets.
Only reason why I keep coming back. It’s like a terrible comedy movie that’s so bad it happens to be good.
Not to mention the free financial advice and what’s going on around the world.

Well if NJ gets a pass for Injuries this year about making the playoffs, shouldn't Detroit with there's. Lost there number 1 goalie for most of the Year, Larkin got hurt at a bad time. Having there 3rd string goalie starting 44 games doesn't help. |

Adams being good at his job is subjective?
Isn't he subject to the same result the coaches and players are, which is making the playoffs minimally? - kingcong39
Is that the point you want to parse through from my post

I'd like Gallant. He knows how to win. But he's a players coach, yes? Maybe not what this group needs. But Tuch loved him. Said he held him accountable.
I'm warming to the idea that Homie had regarding Dean Evason. He had three really good years in Minnesota before getting fired about twenty games in during the 4th. Offensive minded coach.
Berube had a couple really good years and the rest were meh, but obviously has that Cup win, and is a demanding coach.
Jay Woodcroft might be a candidate.
Lindy will always hold a special place, but let's try something new, please. |

I agree, and Girgensons, Okposo had a huge hand in this to. Obviously they weren't pushing the right buttons on the Ice. Sh!t show from Top to Bottom |

You can't say there's one party to blame, ever.
Kevyn gave Don soft captains.
Don didn't set a standard for accountability and effort.
The players allowed that casual atmosphere to define their season.

New Jersey had strong underlyings but couldn’t get a save. It was like a repeat of their 2021/2022 season.
Detroit had a horseshoe the size of the state of Michigan up their ass and scored at an unsustainable rate that even would have made last years Sabres team blush.
Difference between the Sabres and Red Wings, is that Yzerman blew his load in free agency in the trade market to be extremely mid while we are wondering if Adams even has a telephone line (prior to the Byram trade).
I take Buffalo, Ottawa, and heck even Montreal potentially depending on how the lotto balls fall over Detroit the next few years.

The current plan is to depend on a coach to change an entire roster that accepted the bolded....a lot to ask in a short period of time. |

Yep.
I'm leaning on the examples of midseason coaching changes can totally 180 a team. Fortunately the next guy gets several months.

Hard to blame Lindy - Sabretooth9
Why don't we get the same excuse?
