No other coach could’ve coaxed more than a bottom 5 finish out of them. Which makes torts the exact wrong coach lol |

It's great to see the Flyers have a meaningful final game of the season, but that recent losing streak doomed their shot at the post season. Hopefully the Hockey Gods smile on the Flyers and they make the playoffs. |

Should be an important game for next year, probably going to determine who will need to get offseason surgery and miss several months and which player will have the mystery injury that causes them to sit out the whole year.

Flyers will turn up another middle-six F or middle-pair D at #12.
Exactly what we're missing.
1OA is for losers. And the Flyers aren't that. |

I’m gonna wine and dine myself tonight. Be ready and watching the game with full climax at the final buzzer of this season for flyers. |

It'll be interesting to see if Briere tells the media what's wrong with Risto on clean out day (Thursday?), or if he keeps hiding what's going on.
Last game was February 10th, so it's been more than two months already since he played. |

Already in draft mode. Michael Hage rising, which is not a surprise. Cole Eiserman falling like a rock. The knock is all he does is score goals. I kind of thought for a forward that was the most important skill to have, and work on the rest of the game. |

expect a lot of blocked shots and laying the body on the line tonigh. A torts wet dream.
Anyone else see the flyers trading their pick for immediate help in the under 25 range? |

D!ckinson is Bonk's d-partner IIRC. Flyers probably have a lot of viewings on him.
The Silayev kid is bananas. 6'7 and skates like Duncan Keith. Seen him ranked as high as #2. What a pure bet on tools that would be. |

Part of me wants to curse out the Canadiens for collapsing against Detroit last night. But seriously, the Flyers had their chances recently to beat Montreal and played two of their worst games of the season against them. If my count is right, the Flyers this season have lost 8 games to lower teams: MTL 2x, CBJ 2x, OTT 2x, CHI, SJ. If they win even two of those games, we're singing a much different tune. In fact, a bunch of other teams being mediocre gave the Flyers all the opportunity they needed to get in the playoffs, but they squandered it. So two higher teams (Boston, Nashville) losing and another team collapsing last night is pretty much the help the Flyers deserved. - copelal
Yeah but look at the big wins against teams they weren't supposed to beat. It all evens out.

According to Anthony Di Marco and retweeted by Seravalli things are trending towards a contract. Rizzo would report to the Phantoms when the deal is done. #unspurn |

People sometimes ask me how I can hate the Bruins being that I am from Boston. Well, last night's game against the Caps was just added to my 42 volume series of why I hate the freak'n Bruins! And it's not like they were resting players either! Simply pathetic! |

How does Tottorella get a pass on this? Coach should have his players ready to play every game but especially for these "trap' games |

I will be curious if GMs stay away from Silayev and Demindov with the KHL commitment. I certainly do not expect either to be available when the Flyers pick. I would not be shocked to see Flyers take blueline with their first pick.

The Russian situation hasn't really changed since last year so maybe the Flyers can capitalize again.

Add in the ridiculous OT decisions and this team should be in the playoffs. The division stinks but they left points on the table all year long.

At the start of the season if someone told us that the Flyers would have a chance at the playoffs at game 82, we would have told them they were crazy. What's most disappointing is that we controlled our own destiny and blew it.
As in pure Flyer tradition, NAK gets the game-winning/playoff clinching goal tonight.
This was a missed opportunity at a decent season. Playoff exposure for a young group would have been valuable. It was clear in the first third of the season that we were not going to be in the lottery hunt. |
