Who is suing who and for what? Was there a term limit, or are the Sabres stuck in Buffalo for eternity. I have my doubts about the iron clad conceptof that must stay in Buffalo.

Who a lawyer on here?

- IonSabres

Well it's Terry's Team, I think after 10yrs it would be his choice. If he's keeping the Bills I can't see him selling the Sabres to someone who is gonna move them.

I'm not a lawyer but I've seen them do a enough shady crap in my day. Anyways here's my thoughts.

-I can imagine Pegula knows what the team means to us and would probably only sell to a buyer interested in keeping the team here.

-The legue is probably also interested in seeing the team stay here.

-Any potential buyer who sees them as not profitable would probably be able to connect being the worst team ever during Pegula's ownership and assume they can do better and turn it around.

However the whole scene is a bit shaky and if Pegula's decided he didn't care anymore and if the new owner desired to move them the door is definitely open. There's no such thing as impossible here. This isn't Toronto/Boston/Chicago.

Be careful what you wish for.

How many guys are out there who want to drop a billion on the Sabres and keep them in Buffalo?

- Atomic Wedgie

Don’t think the NHL will allow them to move… regardless of the apathy beat into the fan base, we all know Buffalo is a rabid hockey market…

I guess they could move them to Atlanta to fail again or to AZ to play in a college stadium…

And honestly, do we really want to watch the team if it’s 13 more years of the $hit we’ve seen?

Save us Ryan Reynolds, you are our only hope….

Should probably try looking at a map. Dallas is about as far from any of those teams as Winnipeg is from literally everyone. If They moved a team to Houston, a geographic rivalry with Dallas makes sense and I'll even give you Tampa Bay and Miami, especially Tampa as a fantastic cross-bay rivalry... But Carolina could just as easily be in the Metropolitan division and Nashville in a Central/Midwest Division.

The current alignment is ridiculous.

There should be a Pacific, Mountain, Central, Northeast, Southeast and Metropolitan divisions.

Pacific: Vancouver, Anaheim, San Jose, Seattle, Los Angeles
Mountain: Edmonton, Calgary, Utah, Colorado, Vegas
Central: Winnipeg, Minnesota, St. Louis, Dallas, Chicago, Columbus
Northeast: Buffalo, Detroit, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Ottawa, Montreal
Southeast: Washinton, Carolina, Nashville, Florida, Tampa Bay
Metropolitan: Boston, NYI, NYR, New Jersey, Philadelphia

Don't sleep on Columbus possibly relocating at some point by the end of the decade. I'd put them and Ottawa as teams on the move before Buffalo. Columbus is owned by Worthington Industries, which is a local steel manufacturer in Columbus, so it would take quite the offer to move them but if they don't find success and a new arena by 2030, I could realistically see them as a dark horse for relocation. The NHL can say all day long that it's been a successful market, but Columbus has Ohio State and the Columbus Crew, which obviously Ohio State is #1 but from what I could tell, the soccer team was more popular and successful than the NHL team. On top of that, you have Cincinnati with the Reds and Bengals and Cleveland with the Guardians, Browns and Cavaliers both within a 2 hour drive, Detroit and Pittsburgh both within a 3 hour drive...

Columbus moves to Houston, Ottawa to Atlanta, Buffalo stays put and Arizona gets a team back by 2030 making a very crowded 34 team league in a sport that has dozens of developmental leagues and an already watered down talent pool. But if it means we have guys getting 100 assists and 70 goals again, screw it, I'm in.

So, in summary, it doesn't appear to be a legal track so much as an emotional / goodwill track.
Goodwill and emotion don't play well when $1B is on line.

Is that a bit pot calling the kettle black? Didn't you get up in your feelings when I made a joke the other day about a post that was almost twice as long as that one?

Not very many people can boast a daily routine of scoring points in the WHL. But Matthew Savoie sure can!

Ostlund-Kulich-Rosen had some good looks.

Whalberg had 4 shots on goal.

Amerks figured out the loser point memo, shame they blew the one goal lead in the third but good game all together.

Levi was sharp also. Didn’t have much of a chance on the OT winner as it was a breakaway

As long as he stays healthy. He should be in buffalo next year along with Kulich.

Unless Granato can secretly still hold back Kulich

"These discussions only involve the Bills and no other team. No investment would be possible without Terry Pegula and the Pegula family maintaining a controlling interest in the team. Their continued commitment to Western New York, the new Highmark Stadium, our fans, and the other teams in their portfolio remains unchanged. The Bills also announced the sale is limited only to the Bills, and not any of the Pegulas’ other holdings, which include the NHL Buffalo Sabres and the American Hockey League Rochester Americans".

Whether it's true or not, this was the statement.

Think your blaming the wrong person for that, and would be very surprised if they were here, atleast both.

I would think it depends on what Adams brings in to help his Roster. He can't rely on 2 rookies to do that.

Rookies will not be counted on to make the roster. They will need to force themselves upon it.
