I agree that they'll push, but I don't see an avenue to one or both making the opening night roster with what's riding on next season.

I always agreed that I didn’t think they’d make the opening night roster barring the GM completely whiffing the offseason.

Now I’m confused what we are even conversing about.

The way to make actual room for prospects next season is either planning on them taking spots right from the start of the season, or bringing in low level replacement level players to start the season, until one or more of the prospects are ready during the season.

now they need to replace and upgrade the bottom half of the forwards finding better options than jost, okposo, girgens, robinson, olofsson

very similar spot vs 12 months ago but the solution then was bring back the bottom feeders and let the kids rot another season in the minors
