You know how difficult it is to get those types of players.

Isn't their only solution to build out a robust, well rounded roster and see how far that takes them?

They might have a bunch of Middle six players, doesn't mean they fit the need to finish of that Line. Sabres need some Boom in there Middle six. They need some Grit that can play.

To find top of the top line players, you basically are praying for lottery luck or drafting miracles.

Neither are reliable.

The need is to build an optimal roster, even down to the 13th forward and 7th defenseman, with your roster having multiple roles filled out properly.

As you and others have accurately pointed out, the Sabres are quite lacking in that respect.

Well if Adams is serious there should be player's available this FA and probably Trade wise that could fit some of those needs. But does Adams have it in him to use his Assets like he should have been doing the last 2 years. And I am not talking about sh!ting 14mill down the toilet like he did in early July last year.
Really waiting to see how the HC hiring goes, could tell a lot of how serious he was, if Appert steps to the podium it was just more lip service.

Well I would think with the Sh!t Show the Sabres have been, any Decent Coach with experience is only gonna come here if he has some say in the Roster Building and other things. I think they will want a lot of say on the Team or else why come here and work for Terry Pegula.

Ya, he needs to tune his game, yet PO's is where he shines. He didn't have a good PO last year though, so we shall see.

Also, lots of injuries to their top 3 Dmen during the season impacts his performance this past season.

I hate that they are playing the Panthers.. I like that team a lot as well . Hard to cheer against.
I don't expect the Bolts to survive round 1
