Calling Peca being back as the associate head coach now
- Stripes77

I said a month ago that it would be Lindy and or Appert, now they have another opening and it may go to Appert.

I will pray for this.

Peca as the heir to Lindy in 2 years would be nice, even though I like Appert

Welp. I guess Adams really was ready to pull the trigger.
- TheSabresTaco

Terry’s safe play, if(when) it fails Lindy retires a Sabre and Adams goes back to being bald Joe Dirt.

Given all the history and context, could you name a "safer" hire?
- buffalofan19

No. But I think this could work at least in the short term. Not like "win the cup" because this franchise is cursed but he could reasonably get them to the playoffs

They haven't done a proper search since he bought the team. It's always the easy route with this fvckin team
- DirtyDan

Meh.

I don't really understand the criticism here. Berube. Gallant. Ruff. McLellan. Who gives a poop. Win some (frank)ing games.

This is a " SAFE" move for Adams, they don't like outsiders.

Gallant sucked at developing young talent on the rangers and using them properly. Lafreniere and Kakko. A couple prospects demanded trades out

McClellan never wanted to come here

I don't hate the hire on its surface, but underneath, it just confirms everything we knew about the people running the show. Adams is hockey's version of Ted Cruz when it comes conservative hockey operations, but at least being able to sell Terry Pegula on a Gallant or Berube type of hire would have signaled that this was his team. Instead, he went and hired the guy he knew the owner would 100% back.

When a majority of your team is young or prospects. That’s kind of a big deal to have a coach that is good at working with them

So if we're comparing this drought to the Bills' drought, have we reached the Marv Levy stage?

When that all went down, Ralph Wilson was scared of anybody who made him "uncomfortable". We're seeing the same thing with this ownership.

Right or wrong, it's irrelevant if we win.
