That 4th line is working so I have a hard time thinking he comes out but he could. I would have agreed with you before the series. - Aaron_85
Good for him if he's playing well and I'm wrong then.

Marner and Matthews will be reunited and the Leafs will win the next three games
I hope McMann is back soon, we could really use his tenacity.
Willy on LTIR for razor rash. - Arctic_AARDVARK
lets see how you walk after getting bad Brazilians cut and some anal bleaching.

Yeah some said wait until playoffs, they were right
Remember when Dubas thought 5’9” Colin Blackwell was the guy to make the 4th line good - Santo_44
The man played 10 and 7 minutes the last two games, has 1 point and made 1 boneheaded play so far.
I mean he might be playing well for what he is but I'd wait until calling him a great playoffs success no?

Yeah, and if Willy is ready, you have to play him.
........
Bertuzzi Matthews Domi
Jarnkrok Tavares Nylander
Knies Holmberg Marner
Dewar Kampf Reaves
Marner makes that line a lot better defensively and his game IQ/situational awareness would mean that they should be able to dominate when they're on the ice against the B's 3/4 lines, but also not get completely caved in on a mismatch, like if they had to go up against Pasta's line.
Marner could get some shifts in with Matthews too. - gravyface
My only worry with this is that Keefe uses JT has a head-to-head match up against Pasta's line and moving Marner out and Willie in takes some defensive juice away.
I'd just give Krok-Holm-Willie a go ...the Ikea line ..or the Volvo line ..or the Swedish meatball line?

He’s been hitting, being in the right spots and making solid plays all over the ice.
He’s a 4th liner and has played his role very well.
I have no idea why you want him to fail so hard, it’s weird. He is a 37 year old playing great hockey in his 4th line role. It’s a good story. |

Reavo has played his style and Dewar/Kampf have made that line everything it needs. 10 mins is it. They used it to be impactful and create momentum. It's game by game for them.
Just ignore Santo
He's a dog on a bone when he thinks he might be right and then moves goal posts for miles when he's wrong. He does a lot of mental gymnastics to make himself right. |

I'd put Nylander on the 3rd too. He can truly create on his own. As well you can give him extra shifts here and there as needed with Matthews or JT.

He had a great game last night
I hope he keeps it up so they don’t even have to put in the better goalie
Need game 2 Sammy to show up not game 1 Sammy. - Santo_44
We all know how goalies can get into the heads of the opposition. It would be great if Sammy can continue to stay out of his own head and (frank) with the Bruins instead. I bet it’s way more fun for Sammy. |

Yeah I don’t trust his head, it feels like he can go from great to bad just like that.
I hope he builds off that last 2 periods and goes on a run. Beating Boston would feel oh so good. |

He’s a RD. They have Forbort who’s a LD coming off LTIR. I don’t know who’s able to switch sides but I think it’s a loss for them. |

Who knows the rules about changing after an icing?
You cant change after an icing...we all got that. But the Bruins were able to put their goalie back in after they iced it with the goalie pulled. Should have been stuck on the bench. |

Yeah Forbort has been out for months too…hard for a 3rd pairing d to jump into things after a long break.

I don't want him to fail.
I think he's just not that good at this whole "playing hockey" thing while you present him like a difference maker.
Ffs I said "good for him if he's playing well" earlier. Try and keep up.

When did I say he was a difference maker? Lol
Constantly been saying he’s been great in his 4th line role which he has.
He throws punches and has a big personality, some just hate that for some reason and can’t admit that he has been good. |

I’m not going to comment on whether Reaves should or shouldn’t be on the ice, but I can’t argue with the 4th lines play.
I think we collectively attribute the brunt of the success of that line to Kampf. Outside of a huge brain fart, he is the engine that could. (frank)er is big, tenacious, mostly smart (see above), and he seems to not care who he’s playing with. He gets it.
Hard to envision too many better 4th line centers out there IMO. |
