Over a point a game the year before.

Because he got to setup Matthews. Big whoop… even Domi is pulling that off at 25% of the price

For Marner’s sake, I hope he signs somewhere else.

Yeah but if you ignore those points, he didn't score them.

There's a reason he scores goals at about half the rate in the playoffs that he does in the regular season.
- BINGO!

You talking about the 3P Matthews last night or the zero point Marner?

Career Regular Season .337 goals per game, .773 assists per game

Career playoffs .192 goals per game, .712 assists per game

The passing remains, the scoring becomes a problem.

Does the first round not count because Marner played really well?

So the first round last year is excluded from consideration, got it.

There's no other fan base on earth that has a pathological need to hate on their stars.

It's why Leafs Nation can't have nice things.

Yes it is actually… 1 and a half good years out of 7 isn’t a passing grade… I know math isn’t a strength of a lot of you guys but damn… can’t wait til Marner leaves when the new GM refuses to give him anything more than a $600K raise

Because.

Marner.

Sucks.

A weak ass pass first guy whose career looks better than it should due to Matthews.

Mitchell Marner has 16 goals, 48 assists and a plus-minus of +16 in 54 games without Auston Matthews in his career.

for me Marner shrinks as the series go longer (tougher)
just a quick look, the last 2 games of each series since 2021... has 4 points in 8 games.

And if he stays he’ll retire as the leading points scorer in Leafs history.

Oooooooo so impressive since he got to play with JT in his prime instead.

Can’t wait til he’s gone. I’ll continue to hope while he wears a leafs jersey but I’m thankful the new GM won’t be stupid enough to hand him $12.5+ which will be what he’ll be after

Crying? It’s called honesty. I don’t give a flying (frank) about that weak assed puck giveaway forward

I don't hate Mitch at all, but I do hate having that much cap space taken up by a player that will never play physically and can only put up points in wide open games. Those games rarely exist in the playoffs.

Looking forward to game 3. Hoping leafs don't focus as much on matchups as they do on playing the right way, staying out of the box, giving 110%, and finishing their checks

Fantastic regular season performer, ghost in the playoffs. Ship him out, or let him walk. Use that $12M+ elsewhere.
- Whipper

Ghost in the playoffs? Bahahaha.
So far these ones, sure. But not all.
Recency bias i suppose.

Much like the 24 games of bert, domi and Matthews. A small example, can it last dunno.
Hope so, so we can see another round
