I made the mistake of telling my girlfriend we should watch it together.

He's a goal scorer too, though. Four straight years of 30+ goal scoring pace says you're a scorer.

I wish he'd shoot the puck more, to be honest. There was a stretch where he was shooting more, and he scored a lot. He's too predictable at the moment.

It's a "whine" to point out that in a hotly contested series for a team that has not won much in the playoffs never mind the championship in over a half a century that their highest paid players are doing the least amount of work and showing the least amount of effort?!?!

I'm finally watching the Borje series.

I really, really, really want to like it.

But man, that's hard to do.

Some of the dialogue is just franking horrible.

I want a win & a series win where every player contributes positively, no mistakes are made by any player and we all come in here and sing Kumbya together while chugging blue koolaid collectively praising the Toronto Maple Leafs.


Snapping back to reality for a moment I want a win, and series win where every star player who is healthy enough to play contributes to the level they should in relation to their salary and every 'other' player does the same top to bottom.

This seems more reasonable and realistic.

Watching (we had to pause due to anger) Handmaids Tale on TV with my wife and the way women are treated (In the USA) in that fictional futuristic series makes her see red!

Great series though and some of it (maybe all?) shot in Toronto.

Man that hit he threw I think in the first after getting hit himself was most excellent. JT is JT. He never has been fast but he's still got skills, talent and hockey IQ. He just can't quite do everything on his own anymore.

I am hoping he signs an extension in the area of 5 million per.

I really wonder with Marner whether this is all a bi-product of him being inside his own head. He clearly attempts to get the puck to Matthews far too much - which is what killed the powerplay last year in the playoffs - and what has made the Matthews & Domi combo so interesting - Domi passes most of the time as well ... but he's better puck retrieval and getting to the dirty areas - which Marner simply doesn't want to do anymore. Early in his career he skated harder and drove the play up the ice - that rarely happens anymore.

If I was in Keefe's shoes I seriously think about putting Marner out there to play against Pasternak as much as possible - and not focus on much else. Give him a simple task AND make it clear that he's not taking a regular shift with Matthews.

it seemed pretty clear to me that Marner wasn't driving the Tavares line - which I think would be better served at this point with Knies & Jarnkrok .. unless someone finds Nylander before game 3.
