There is literally one way a player with a full NMC is traded, and it's if the player approves a trade. There's no rocket science to it, that's just the way it is.

Seriously, though - why are both defensemen going to the point on a lost draw? I don't give a rat's ass what Bieksa says. That lane was McCabe's but he abandoned it and down low should have been Benoit's. Why he's lined up on the wall to go to the point is ludicrous. That's a winger's job all day every day. Marner's job was the left defenseman off the draw but I think he did get caught between guys. I know you exchange guys in the zone as you roll with the play, but off the draw if that's the Leafs lost faceoff in the D-zone play - no wonder they give up so many lost faceoff goals.
