Why is UPl only asking for 3.75 and not 5?
Is it just because other goalies arnt making as much?
Arb case UPL is asking for minimum 4.5. Even that number puts him as the 22 highest paid goalie in the NHL. - ImThatGuy
I'll post it again.

If you think the comps at 4.5-5 are there, I'm all ears.

Why would UPL do them any favors?
Two years ago they were done with him.
Tried to replace him with Levi this year. Plan failed only for UPL to save their asses. - ImThatGuy

Luukkonen’s Possible Short-Term Deal
The pending restricted free agent (RFA) is due for a substantial bump from his current cap hit of $837,500. If Luukkonen and the Sabres opt for a short-term deal, Jake Oettinger’s three-year contract with the Dallas Stars is a good comparable. Before signing on the dotted line in Sep. 2022, Oettinger played a career-high 48 games in 2021-22, posting a winning record and a .914 save percentage (SV%).

Jake Oettinger got 4 mil with a shrinking cap |

5 mill like I said. Increase in cap and natural increasing contract prices
He’s an RFA. They could battle it out on arb |

.25 more than I'm saying, from a better player. Now we're in the same ballpark.

Levi will be getting paid by that point.
Can’t imagine they’d be spending starter money on two goaltenders |

UPL is still a huge question mark.
Do you have the same trust level in UPL as the Sabres did with Ryan miller? |

Of course not. I'd give him 1 year at around 3m. I think this is an easy one. Team has all the leverage.

It’s Adams math, 49…. Add decimal point, Upl gets 4.9m…. |

That's the irony here. I've spent most of the year defending him. He saved their season, starting all the way back in late October.

How’s okposos slowness going
And where are all the slow guys? Oh wait. Tampa and panthers don’t have those players - Sabretooth9
Okposo has actually looked speedy from the press box to the team buffet tonight. |

Right.
Wanting a team with speed and skill is a horrible take.
Then not wanting slow pylon type players with little skill like Jordan greenway.
Upl still struggling.
I am right about all of it.
Instead you guys here want a bunch to n greenways and lucics because we aren’t “touch” |

Some pretty cool drone photos of the stadium construction. Looks like new stadium rotated about 22.5 degrees to northeast(?) I was like I wonder if that was intentional due to shadow or wind analysis. Looked at google earth and realized it was probably the only way to get it to fit on the tract across the street. You can see the tunnels to the locker room. Field levels gotta be 20’ below ground. Imagine planning/staging that construction. That’s something. Although I was a little surprised there wasn’t an on-site concrete plant.
