Wiedeman/Murray do such a great job. Hard to understand the decision to hire Vosters. He has not grown into this role like some had expected.

You had Bob Miller out there for years, with Jim Fox. I used to listen to them a long time ago when I lived out west and caught games on cable. As good a duo as I've ever gotten to listen to, not that I've listened to nearly as many as some on here.

Hockey is probably the hardest game to call of the four major sports. I would think it's a pretty limited pool of people who can do it successfully.

I've been impressed most of the playoff games so far. I think they've done a good job calling them on both networks though the TNT studio show is much better.

Lot of good games on last night. See a lot of young players learning lots of lessons the hard way in the playoffs.

I know size is wanted but you also need guys who can put the puck in the back of the net.

- BetweenTheDots

Keeping in mind you're a guy that don't dig a Meir, or can justify the cost to acquire that kinda player, come playoff time size isn't wanted it's needed. Big difference.

Some bad. More or less a wasted year for Reichel. The guy had an opportunity to take a top 6 position by storm and earn himself a bigger contract than what he's going to get. Instead, due to his play, he got bounced down to the 4th line, got scratched a few times, and sent down to Rockford.

- boilermaker100

I remember looking at the line chart for Game 1. Thought Reichel is getting the short end with his wingers compared to Bedard and posted so....... I'm an LR guy but IMO slotting Reichel as a center with weak mates on L2 was his biggest mistake of the yr.

It will be a long long time before the NHL gives up on Reichel. Why? Let me ask how many NHLers have the burst Reichel showed beating 2 Dmen on his breakaway goal in Game 82 or the similar play 5-6 games back he did the same thing except drop passed to (?) for a goal? ....... A rare quick twitch athlete.

Let's hope he is slotted properly with proper NHL level mates next yr and the switch goes off for this freakish athlete.

Odunze would be a nice consolation prize but if Bowers or Alt are there, those are my two choices. Or Nabors.

An Edge rusher is more of a need but just take the bpa on your board.

- Elbows15

I have only two more days to pump Brock Bowers, he is a weapon, 3rd best football player in the draft, you draft the best player available regardless of position when you are rebuilding.

I'm gonna assume the Hawks were as amazed by Nazar's complete game and high IQ as I was or they already knew it before his 2 game NHL stint.

Got me to thinking. Kid showed in his tiny NHL sample size he's gonna be an NHL centerman giving the Hawk's their 2C in their minds. Will that affect how they draft? ...... Is it cemented in the organIzation's head they have their top 2 centerman with a decent chance they have a 3C in Moore?

Would that cause them to draft a Dman instead of Lindstrom due to Nazar's 2 game showing? ...... I've come around to thinking if Levshunov is there they'll take him cuz he'd be their best shot at a true top Dman, and he's a right shot, but can't help thinking after watching Lindstrom, Demidov too, a GM just can't pass up that package.

Can't help but wonder if I'm correct will Nazar affect their draft and if so will that be bad or good? Can't see the bad cuz I'm ok with drafting Levshunov, Buium, Parekh or D!ckinson. Same goes for Eiserman but I think they go Dman.

Listened to a guy say Bowers can play the slot, besides in 2 tight end sets. He'd be a nightmare matchup for a defense when he plays slot receiver.

Any idea what his 40 time is? ...... No doubt a freakish kinda athlete.

I don't mind Meier, but it came at a cost, if they could of signed Meier and kept players like Graves, Severson, Wood, and Sharangovich they would be in a much better position. I don't want to sign a power forward if it costs me depth. Quality depth.

I really really really hope that teams drafting 13 and up, just one of them win the lotto so NJ pick turns into number 11 and isn't protected anymore

Probably not a real good idea to draft for specific position or slotting a player already with only 2 NHL games under his belt.
But this team is so talent short up front they have to do something to start fixing that.

Now if you promised me Levshunov will turn into an Alex Pietrangelo or Drew Doughty I'd be all in.

Supposedly 4.53

Great hands, runs great routes, reminds me of a 40 pound heavier version of the Ohio State receiver drafted by Seattle, JSN

The other benefit is when his next contract comes up he'll be cheaper than a wide receiver.

If 4 QBs go in the first 7-8 picks, there is a good chance he will be there. Bowers, Kmet and Everett would be a match-up nightmare for opposing D's. Add in Swift, Moore and Allen and Williams will have some real weapons.

I know our defense depth of prospects is much stronger than our forward depth, but if a #1 projected D-man is on the board and its our pick that is my pick 10 out of 10 times.

Number 1 D men don't come around every day.

You got the Scotty Bowman way of thinking. Scotty just loves him some great defenceman.

Couple years ago he was on a radio interview in Toronto and told the story of how the Hawks sent him out to Vancouver specifically to watch Bowen Byram play. He came back and told his son to draft the kid, he was going to be a really good NHL Dman.

So the Hawks drafted Kirby Dach and the Avs grabbed Byram right after.

Mr Forsling. Fun game to watch. Too bad Stan had no patience or knew how to develop players.
