The Flyers traded Mark Recchi. What kind of franchise would do that? |

Its a common thing for some to go to WBS this time of year, for sure, but to me it's seems like a lot more than usual haha - MattStrat
That's what I was thinking. They sent back 3 fringe NHL guys in Puustinen, St. Ivany, and Shea. And added four prospects that are probably on most people's top ten: Pickering, Koivunen, Broz, and Pieninemi. With the regulars that got them there, it will be interesting to see who plays where. |

I did not realize Puustinen was a UFA this off-season. I'd still try to resign him for cheap, but he's not an important player to retain for me if he ends up elsewhere. |

I don’t really see a spot for him. 2 way deal would make sense. |

Jeff Carter, Mike Richard’s. Only one that comes to mind
Edit. I guess Carter was turned into Vorachek and Coulturier. So not like it was a wash. Although Carter always had that poop that legends have. - Grinder47
Carter and Richard are high on the list. I would add guys like Sharp and Justin Williams. For the Flyers, Speed and hands take a backseat to “200-foot” and physical. Look at this year, you have Dino Delaurentis getting playing time while playmaking prospects hang out in Allentown or get humiliated by the organization. Another place to confirm this talent outlook is to check out where the team ranks and goals for. They are always at the bottom of that list. Plus |

Playmaking prospects don’t do well playing 7 minutes a night on anNHL 4th line. So that’s a dumb example. |

I guess you’re right. Let’s save those roster spots for 200 foot, physical players with hard hands and a hard head. My bad. |

Yep. Putting 20 year olds out the to crash and bang with Jordan Greenway, Matt Martin , Cal Clutterbuck Garnett Gathaway, Tanner Jeanot, Des, pat maroon, Reaves, Rempe is a sure way to develop play making prospects. |

I bet we make assistant coaching changes this offseason and the he of the hires will be Pat Quinn. Pretty sure him and Sully are tight. |

Anyone happen to know a stream link for WBS? Not wanting to pay $30 in case WBS gets bounced in 2 games 😂 |

So wait...to prove how they "continuously" do something, you list 2 moves from 13 years ago (which actually upgraded their skill), and 2 moves from 20 years ago, one which was a prospect swap.
Wow.

You fumbled Johnny Hockey but I think that was just Fletcher being bad at his job in general and not some grand plan to spurn skilled players in favor of Neanderthals - Victoro311
That was Fletcher prioritizing DeAngelo and Risto to save face. |

I mean, Gaudreau had 2 bad seasons, then exploded in a contract year and has not been good since in Columbus (only 60 points in 81 games this year). He is signed for 6 more years at like $9.5M. They may not have missed on Gaudreau.
Thats not to say I wouldn't take him on the Pens if we could send back a not ideal contract like Rackell, Jarry or Graves. |
