I thought about this, Paul.

IMO in this draft Connelly is a 12thish talent. How much does the Beach stain on the franchise dictatde how the Hawks proceed with kids who have some blemishes?

If it's me I swing every time on a talent like Connelly at #19 only cuz at that slot he's so much better than those who will be available at that slot. He's the only player besides a goalie who was not part of the NTDP this yr on the U-18 roster.
It says much to me........ The kid retweeted the Nazi symbol at some point. Ok, maybe he made a mistake. Like I said earlier it bothers me much more he was with 5-6 organIzations since he was 13-14 yrs old and one of them said no when he wanted to come back.

But, the kid will be an NHL player. How good? That's what the sharp ones get paid to figure out.

On the bolded, a lot Rico. It’s unfortunate, but it’s reality.

How good of skater is eiserman? Is physical or shirking flower will he give to hard areas or perminiter player. So my question is what are his pros and cons

Eiserman can be an animal and play like a pr!ck. The kid is also built, just under 200lbs as an 18 year old so he's kind of a man amongst boys even though he's younger. So NHL build already which is nice.

He will probably break whatever the freshman record is for goals in a year and should get close to the overall record especially with the strength of that program in the NCAA.

Bret Hull is probably a good comparable I think I saw that earlier in the thread. Especially when you look at build.

I think most players with one very special talent other stuff gets overlooked or ignored. Bedard was 100% shot and that was allegedly the only transferable skill with well see how he adjusts. Well he could pass and carry the puck at a level most people didn't expect to see his first year and could protect it and forecheck reasonably well for his age and difference in competition. There was a lot more to his overall game that seemed to get missed because of his role on Regina as the only guy who was really good.

I don't buy the statement that Eiserman is only a bomb of a shot. His shot just happens to be so good that it's all anyone sees IMO.

Floor is probably 30/30 player. Ceiling would be hitting the +60 goal mark.

Even though he's falling in the media rankings - I think the NHL build + shot is too good of a package to pass up. You can split hairs over him and Lindstrom (who has true unicorn potential with his size and mobility).

Celebrini would be nice but I don't think we will be disappointed with who they take at 3 or 4 if it goes that way.
