He has dealt with migraines his whole career.

He said it was why he tried the tinted visor a few years ago.

Saw him twice. Once with The Band in the mid ‘70s and again 6 years ago when he played before The Stones in a 3 day festival with Neil, Paul McCartney, Roger Watters and The Who.
- Canada Cup

Saw him at the Ex in 1988 (give or take a year).

He was with Tom Petty.

They were both wasted - worst show I've ever seen.

Oh man I’m MASSIVELY jealous… the band is one of my favourites period the end… fantastic on their own and I don’t even think there are words positive enough to describe them with Dylan

Unfortunate to hear you hear things this way… I love hearing how it’s different wasted tbh… the mental filter is gone and this is what actually ticks inside a musician.

And I love hearing that. Even if the music isn’t “perfect”

People rip Dylan because his concerts don't sound like the records. That's a very narrow view of what an artist and a musician is. The absolute best thing about Dylan is he doesn't give a (frank) what anyone thinks anyway.

I've seen Dylan in concert 24 times. From small venues to stadium shows. I don't regret a single show. He was never a great vocalist and his voice has been weak in the past few shows I've seen. He's about as good as it gets as a songwriter, both lyrics and music and he's still writing great stuff in his eighties. I saw the tour Wedgie referred to when Tom Petty and Heartbreakers were his backing band. It was was a sensational show. The headliners were the Grateful Dead, but the Dylan was in top form. It was July 4th 1986 at Rich Stadium in Buffalo. Huge crowd. Years ago at the Nags Head North Dylan played with a local guitarist (Paul James). Paul told a few of us that Dylan would be playing so we showed up early. It was awesome. Here's a ticket stub to the Buffalo show I found on the web. Can't see the price but I think it was $20 for the show!

He was pretty much doing a lounge singer routine when I saw him at Desert Trip. He was dressed in a sequinned jump suit, standing at a mic (at the piano a few times) and just doing his songs in new to me arrangements.

On a slightly different topic, I don’t think you need to have a good voice to be a good vocalist. Jagger never had an especially good voice. Janis Joplan had a powerful voice but not a beautiful , controlled voice. I consider them both to be good vocalists. Jagger learned how to use a bunch of techniques to control a song and Janis knew how to get raw emotion into her singing.

Too many great Dylan covers around. Here's one you don't hear every day.

This big time.

What I loved about him is he simply played in the manner of how he felt at that moment.

I’ve recorded multiple albums and I was so happy playing with people who took the open approach live. I did a part time thing for some bands on the side who wanted it exact but I hated doing it.

For people who want to hear the album version go see a cover band. They’re far cheaper and it isn’t about art.

You guys have 4 guys making up half the cap can’t root for you. GO BRUINS!!!!! Still haven’t won a cup since the Blues have been in the league. Good job. 2nd round once in the last 20 some odd years? Try spending money on defense and a goalie.

I like Eddy. Always have. Matthews Marner and the other guy are great offensive players. Can’t outscore everyone all the time. This isn’t the oilers team of the 80’s

Yeah, no.

It wasn’t some alternate plane where he revealed a more raw side of Dylan.

He was wasted.

It was awful.
