Nope. At this point, despite the long odds, that precisely what I think. We are the better team and we have done what was needed to win the 1st two games. Why not just believe that this team has found a mindset that is working until at least seeing SOME kind of evidence to the contrary?

Ok I disagree, but sure.

It’s interesting that the “Scranton Flash” hasn’t responded to this post l wonder why?

I mean you gotta think that 3 out of 4 series just won't be 3-0 series. Odds have to very high on that.
- blacksheep1

Unlikely sure but given how the first two games of each series has gone the rangers have dominated more than the canes or panthers have so I wouldn't say our odds are worse just because the other two series played game 3 last night.

For the stats guy you should also know that's not how statistics work, gambler's fallacy and all that...

Obviosuly every game is independent but. Never mind, I'm just gonna post the 5 on 5 stats of this series thus and you're gonna get mad and the it's gonna be chaos in here again.

So, sure. I agree.

Did you see game 2 of the canes-isles? We have certainly not dominated our opponent more than they have. We've been clearly better than our opponent, yes, and have gotten wins which is all that matters, but the canes have just caved the isles in.

Islanders played well yesterday. Probably should have won that game. Was low event hockey, and they still lost. Sorokin just doesn't have it right now.

I guess it depends on how you define domination. If you are looking at stats, sure they dominated that game. From my perspective, not once during the 2 games vs the caps did I think the rangers were in danger of losing either game. The canes certainly can't say the same. Andersson stood on his head in game 1 when I would argue the isles outplayed them, and they had to come back from a 3-0 deficit to win game 2.

Not taking anything away from the canes, they are definitely worrisome and will likely sweep but it's not like they've played perfect hockey either.

Either way, my point was that we are no less likely to win tonight because the panthers and canes are currently sitting at 3-0 in their series

Very good points. I agree. I think there is probably a bit of self-protective anti-Rangers and pro-Canes bias going on in my mind right now. Sometimes you are just trying to protect yourself from the future pain so you see everything your biggest opponent does in rose coloured glasses, and are overly critical of your own team. Either way, hope we win tonight and bust this little "up 2-0" streak!

I think the only thing that’s showing in the isles canes series is that the isles pretty much suck lol (mostly old and slow) we’ve always played the canes well and most of the time have had their number. So sure they’ve dominated, but if we get through the caps I don’t see them being as “dominant” vs us. Don’t get me wrong it will not be easy, but we will give them more of a fight then the isles have. Isles had their chance in game 1 and 2 and blew it. Last night I don’t think they ever really recovered from game 2 until it was too late. And Sorokin just didn’t have it either which didn’t help matters for them

Been taking a break from smoking which is getting harder with the weather getting nicer. I’m too superstitious to start up again now though so I’ll just stick to the same voodoo ranger I drank for games 1 and 2

Nice, Tommy.
I have a bottle of 12 someone gave me. It's not bad stuff. But, I would never give that low-life human being a nickel of my money!
I really do recommend the Green Spot for a beautiful sipping beverage.
