Bossy was amazing as an offensive player but was very underrated as a defensive player. Bobby Clarke said it all the time. Clark was not a mean player and not looking to hurt other players. His fights had a purpose not like many of the fights today. So sad Mike and Clark are gone.

My first favorite and my always favorite is Denis Potvin…shocker. My first Isles jersey was a LaFontaine jersey. My dad’s favorite was Gillies. He tells me when he beat up Schultz that’s when he knew the Islanders were a contender. I never stood a chance in my family.

Well, at least the next game is on TBS so I can watch it live on Max. NHL broadcasting is a mess for cord cutters...if the games are on TNT or TBS, you can stream them live on Max. But if the games are on ESPN, you can't stream them live on ESPN+ or anywhere else. You have to wait until they're over, and then you can watch the replay almost immediately on Hulu.

So not only do I have to hide from the Internet for a few hours when the game's on ESPN to avoid spoiling the result, but also, worst of all, I don't get to benefit from all of your expert analyses here on HB live as it's happening!

There good times. Even when they were down you always knew they had a chance to comeback.

Met Bossy as a kid several times. Billy a few. Those were some teams. 93 was a good year too.
