Barnes IMO was the most underrated as that 01-02 team, which could have been a playoff team if not for playing bob essensa, was as bad as any team not named atlanta or cbus that season - homiedclown
Yeah I totally forgot about Peca really good one, still Drury for me. I liked Barnes too.

I have been watching the Sabres since 1979 I have seen the Sabres have many Captains, Gilbert, Ruff, Ramsey, Gare.. for me the very best Captain that did everything a captain should is easy..
Chris Drury. He could score, set up his line mates, played in critical points of the game both defensive and Offensive situations. he would do anything in crunch time to win a game including taking pucks to the face. Now I was obviously never in the locker room but from what other players have said when Drury talked people shut right up and listened.
That is what you need in a C.... for my money a C does not have to be the best player. it has to be the player who commands the locker room when speaking and a player that can work with the coaching staff and manage his teammates in the direction they need to go. it is not for everyone. Not anyone wants or can be a leader. - hehateme
Hearing the younger guys on the team talk about Drury now really backs this up. They said that he had instant credibility and that they were in awe of him because of what he brought to the table.
Conversely, I think Rivet being made captain a few weeks after arriving tells us what a leadership vacuum there was after Drury and Briere left.

You can steer the ship, but you also need deck officers, sea farers, etc to assist you. No captain has ever lead a big ship, or a hockey team, by himself.
To say he isn't ready because he isn't in the room cracking the whip by himself is just plain assuming things. - Powerslave
This is a GREAT point. It isn't a one man operation. Dahlin, if he's captain, will need help, the same as any other player in the league.
And in all honesty, I don't know, you're right, just going off of some of what I see/hear/read. The actual complexion of that locker-room may be polar opposite from my perception.

Can't argue with that, but I don't think MacKinnon is a lesser leader because he chirps his own guys when they're dogging it either. Time and place.
But you're right, the most important factor is likely the example you set. Hard work is infectious and you can tell from Byram/Tage's comments they respect the hell out of Rasmus for his physical fitness. There are worse captains in the league than Dahlin would be as well, so it wouldn't anger me if he got the C. Just don't know if he's THE guy. - QuinnFan

Lol.
I love Lewis Black.
Reminds me of how I would like to react to people 3/4 of the time. - IonSabres
He truly is a treasure, Black on Broadway is still a top5 stand up routine and no one can convince me otherwise. The chin jiggle is just wholesome fun.

I don't think you're too off-base with your perception. I think the dressing room is probably a mixed bag. Part of it is some players need to grow the (frank) up and man the (frank) up. Like Dahlin said, everyone in that room needs to have the best summer of their careers and come into camp ready to go.
The best thing Adams can do, imo, is add some high-character vets (but ones that can actually PLAY. I'm talking to you, Eric Johnson...) this summer.
I love the ideas of guys like Jenner, Laughton, Stephenson, Bennett.

Credit where credit is due, Dahlin's end of season presser was one of a leader and he was right about a lot.
Just get Jenner and Laughton the heck outta here. Bring me Stephenson or Bennett!!!
Here is what I would like to see the sabres do this off season.
#1, Tyler Bertuzzi
#2, William Karlsson or Sam Bennett
#3, Pat Kane, I would offer a 3 year deal in a heart beat for him.
#4 Matt Dumba- i think he would fit well with our team.

my tenet stream (iptv) is down
the site works, but unable to pay the monthly bill
seems it has been down for a few weeks but my bill was due last week so I had to make a switch
went with catchon which runs 20 a month for 3 tvs
on demand is good, not as good as tenet was
24/7 channels are ok, nothing like what tenet offered
the live channels are great with the one exception as it does not have espn plus and the 300 channels that come with that
has every local channel across the country and every channel you would want for tv across the world
i give their porn a C
sport streams for mlb work great so I assume it will for hockey , basketball and football as well
the downside is lacking espn plus
I give it an 8.5 for the price and will be my new backup when i find that perfect site again - homiedclown
I move around a bit, as they seem to deteriorate over time... Maybe wrong but seems this way.
I am using Digitalizard, which is ok for content but requires an IPTV player... Which I'm using 2...one for my main TV (SmartersPro), and another (TIviMate) for my tablet.
Stream is a great value, however I will say reliability is less than stellar on many of these ... And I'm convinced there are like a few primary streaming companies and a gazillion smaller business that run off that
