I wish that was a viable option here. its not
we have to drive 25 mins to the closest bus stop. then take a bus to the train. then get off and take 1 or 2 more buses.
so you either have to buy a bus and train pass or pay each time each way..which I think ends up costing more overall.

and that whole process takes about 90 mins..if you timed everything right

iv have been on the trade Rielly train for a few years, but if you move mitch, then I say keep Rielly and you can add another 6-8mil ..actual #1 and Rielly imo becomes a valuable piece

Whitney's is probably crossing a line. Cooper's is just appropriate aging.

I "cancelled" my parents comments/humour about 25 yrs ago and my teenage kids have cancelled me. It's the circle of life ..it's suppose to happen. Twitter just makes it louder.

Since the trades (RBat is batting runs above average; Rdrs is defensive runs saved) on his own Varsho may stand head-to-head decently against either thanks to his stellar defense, but collectively it's a loss; in the other big deal they made recently you're not going to win by getting a middle reliever for an every day power hitter:

Varsho: 92 OPS+, 5.3 WAR; -6 RBat, 34 Rdrs

Moreno: 112 OPS+, 4.7 WAR; 1 RBat, 23 Rdrs
Gurriel: 108 OPS+, 3.4 WAR; 5 RBat, 14 Rdrs


Hernandez: 111 OPS:, 3.1 WAR; 6 RBat, 4 Rdrs
Swanson: 1.1 WAR

So most of us are angry about the lack of progress, the poor coaching decisions and a question on the direction - since it seems like a young up and coming team is taking steps backwards when they should be progressing. Those two most recent trades do suck, but overall Atkins has a decent trade history:

The acquisition of Liriano, McGuire and Ramirez for Hutchinson was excellent. Parlaying Liriano into Hernandez and Aoki was also excellent work. Almost none of the trades to dump the aging guys bit us in the ass even if the return was largely unhelpful (Donaldson, Happ, Pillar, etc). The acquisition of Berrios was good - not sure if Martin ever establishes himself, but he's off to a slow start this year. Woods-Richardson is having a decent start, so he might be arriving now. You'd even note that the guys we gave up for Chapman don't look like they'll come back to bite us in the backside.

So for me the last two trades suck, but many of the others along the way have been decent to good.

What we need to calm the fanbase is simply progress. I want to see Bo and Vlad hitting and showing patience - reaching their potential. Singles are fine sometimes. Are Biggio and IKF really your infield answers?

I think it's largely much ado about nothing. The glee people get from the idea of "cancellation" is absurd. People say and do dumb things all day every day - but thanks to social media we all have to listen the stupidy and be prodded to reply!

The problem here is that the people who are irate about it are largely meaningless to the core fanbase that matters and the sponsors. The image Whitney posted is definitely rape and beyond poor taste. It's not going to change anything there. He probably should acknowledge it and apologize. But really . . . Biz is the only product that matters for Spittin Chiclets and if you're whacko enough to drink and enjoy Pink Whitney . . . well, I don't know what your sense of humour would be. You're probably too hungover to comprehend anything anyway.

still lots of track left to asses the deal, my post was just to see if Varsho play has cooled off the hot takes. personally I love a great outfeilder. cant get enough of the Pillar, KK and Varsho plays out there.

id make that Hernandez trade again. by the sounds of it he wanted to come back, but that would have meant Him or Turner. and meh whatever
