I agree. He never gives out any information. So even if there was an overhaul coming he would never tip his hand.

I'm not sure what to expect this offseason. If Lou is still the GM then I think there will be a few small changes. Hopefully Martin and Clutterbuck are gone, but I could see Lou bringing them back on short contracts.

If the owners step in and replace Lou then who knows. All we can do is wait.

- JimmyP

Lou does not know the meaning of short contracts. He was only tough with Robin Lehner. Lou needs to do the right thing and retire. Or Lou can just be a figure head president like someone else.

The games were closer than I think they appeared. The Canes didn't play well. The isles played their rope-a-dope strategy and it kinda worked. Some extreme bad luck and bad bounces in a couple games and this series is at worst tied 2-2.

For me it comes down to a goofy constructed line up of old slow parts and some flashy bandaid parts and horrendous coaching. 3/11 on the power play. Last night when we need something good on the pp he's switching out centermen as they're coming up the ice...like....he's out of his depth. And a dumb goalie switch too.

Go back to junior.
Rod Brindamour is a good NHL coach.
Patrick Roy is not.

eh id give him at least one season where he can bring in guys that fit his system , or try

Way too soon to judge Patrick after not even a full season. We tried the coaching change route anyway. Time for the GM to get the heat. Lou may get more time since Patrick was just hired though.

yup he inherited a flawed team and at least kept them moving, needs to put his stamp on it all before getting the ultimate judgment.

I feel dumber reading that and I'm already dumb.

Islanders need to seriously consider trading both Nelson and Palms this summer.

He could light kittens on fire for sexual gratification and still be a better person off the ice than on it

This made me laugh so hard last night, I can’t even tell ya.

The whole talk of “luck.” You make your own luck. Plain and simple. We didn’t deserve to win this series at all and I see all these dumb (frank)s on Twitter with their, hurr-durr, we could have easily won this series. STFU. They are CLEARLY a better team that us.

I did see Botta’s tweet and keaner’s post last night and both are 100% correct. Sad part, changing this roster is gonna be incredibly tough.
