Devil’s advocate here...
Why is he still in a depth role if he is so good?

They elected to play Connor as 1LW and Iafallo/Villardi as 1RW

As to why they did that, we’d have to ask Bowness because Ehlers did extremely well next to Scheiffle and on the stint he had as 1RW with both Connor and Schieffle

Eventually a goalie needs to step up and stand on his head.

Levi has proven it in the NHL a couple games and in roch…. Ryan miller proved it

UPL has not.

- Sabretooth9

Levi didnt prove it last night when it counted. his worst game of the five when it matter the most, UPL has proven a lot more then the kid and it not even close

Ehlers had 54 even strength points this year which ranked 27th in the entire league while averaging only 15.52 TOI per game.

Out of all the players in the NHL that played at least 600 minutes, Ehlers was 6th in 5-on-5 goal differential percentage at 65.26%.

Nik Ehlers is excellent and we would be foolish not to attempt to add his skill set

Hope I'm not the only one who read quickly and saw 'trucking management' as the reply.

He plays both wings.

In terms of contract, I would imagine in the neighborhood of $8-8.5M

Plenty. That kind of money on someone who will be 29 rarely goes well.

Levi was fantastic all series long. Apparently you weren’t paying attention.

He had 55 shots one game. He carried the amerks.

UPL actually has proven less. He did nothing in roch and he did nothing in the nhl.

He played 1 good month of hockey. He sucked in October to December and sucked in March when it mattered most.

Like I said before.

If Adams gives upl 6-7 years. Everyone here on hockeybuzz will be correct.

If he gets bridged. They don’t trust him

In less than 5 minutes of 5v5 ice time, Carolina has out-shot the Rangers 12-6, out-chanced 4-3, and out-scored 3-1 in Trouba's minutes per @NatStatTrick

This hits home really hard. I lost my mom to cancer last March. The first trip around the sun without her was the worst (mother's day, her birthday, holidays, me losing my job and, let's face it, we all just want our mom during certain times).

Pretty impressive considering they are wasting two roster spots on Rempe and Trouba

3-2, Fitz keeps poking to Rempe on Facebook, the fact he is not blocked is validation enough.

What does adams doing something stupid have anything to do with hockeybuzz? Does anyone want 6 or 7 years for UPL?

Btw Levi had the type of game you'd smash UPL for

One piss poor take after another

Feels insane to suggest Levi had a better season than UPL, but that's where it feels like he's going.

No idea where 6-7 years comes from. UPL's agent? Not sure he's even aiming for that.

That said, KA should take advantage of his contract situation and opt for a 1 year deal. It's the smart move.
