That said, I don't see Kevy acquiring a Top 4 Dman unless they trade Sammy. With him and Johnson (fully ready for Top 4 in another season) in the fold, I think they believe they have that covered... And I don't necessarily disagree.

He has picked up his physicality, but not what I would call a big hitter, but is good on the dot.
He'd be ok if Kevyn can't find a suitable 3C who is good on the dot. But if he does acquire one, I'd be on that Trenin train with 36.

Interesting ATW on Matt Ellis. Seems they're strong supporters of Ellis but he was just in the wrong role, and now he's placed where he should be. I guess he's an incredibly intelligent hockey guy...

Buuuut definitely can't coach skill positions. So whatever, as long as he's out of the way.

He’s not a big banger, but a smart player, good on draws and very good on the PK.
Maurice uses him on 4 th line if when everyone is healthy.

Love what Appert had to say about Rosen's game growth, he's really rounded out his game, where he had a lot of defensive responsibility and still led the team in scoring. He has an impressive game for a guy who was slight and weak in his own end in his draft year.

As I said all year, I still think he's the closest prospect forward to get more looks in Buffalo. Big summer to build strength.
