Ya, I have been relatively patient with him.
If people are unimpressed with Benson at 18, why should Krebs be given more time at 23 (almost 24 when the season starts).
I like the kid, but he regressed horribly last season.
Tage-like revivals don't happen frequently.

Cause Skinner is here and it highly improbable he is moved. So, try to maximize his production, as his Cap Hit and lack of defensive play aren't likely to change, the best alternative is to get production out of him.
Also, while you didn't say it, acquiring a replacement from outside doesn't make a lot of sense to me either since a plausible replacement inside exists from one of the younger guys in another r year or two.

That's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it.

I didn't say where the someone else should come from.

JJ/Quinn/Benson are all plausible candidates this year IMO.

I just don't think Skinner is a line 1 player anymore(if ever really). He really looked to be slowing down after that injury. Maybe he can turn it up again? Would be nice.

He should be able to produce with "lesser" line mates IMO.

This is trade value, right? Teams want their guys. Most of their prospects have lost value in the last year, just how the world works. Savoie had a decent year, but he's not in the NHL and the durability concerns have grown. Benson exceeded and at least kept his value.
