Would you take on the terrible PLD deal if it means you get Brandt Clarke? Maybe hope he bounces back.
Clarke could potentially be exactly what they need. Big, physical RHD. Excellent prospect pedigree. Huge point totals in the AHL last year so he can QB a powerplay. And he'll be dirt cheap for a few years.

Marner for Clarke and PLD. - PlatosRepucklic
Dubois can play when he feels like it. He turned a good series against the Leafs into a set for life contract.

Yeah I'd be inclined to do it. RHD with that kind of potential rarely, if ever become available. Dubois was a force in that Leafs-Jackets series a few years back. Plug him in at 2C with Tavares moving to the wing and see what happens. Worth the risk to add a potential #1 RHD imo
Tell me what exactly was JOEL Q. involvement in that fiasco? Do you know? From what I understand (limited) his involvement was very minor.
People are condemning him without even knowing exactly was was done.
It’s been years. He’s done his penalty time. There is a thing called FORGIVENESS. This is something the cancel culture know little about. We all are flawed. We all make mistakes. It’s not the unpardonable sin.

Dude.
If his involvement was very minor, the NHL wouldn’t have suspended him indefinitely.
Read the independent report, which concluded he knew the facts and asked that it be silenced until after the playoffs.
If he was innocent, he would be demanding to be reinstated.
He and the rest of the Chicago management team should be done for good
Easton Cowan is the dealiio
Lots of changes to come
Keef out
Marner gone
Berube in
And sign Montour
Re sign Jones
I could live with a Jones Woll combo - Koots 33

They were all gathered, senior team leadership (not players) during the playoffs. It was assigned to someone, Q never followed up. He also said it was a distraction if I'm not mistaken.
I won't say he knew what was going on an tried to bury it, but he didn't do anything to expose it.

Sometimes folks get fooled by very young looking faces and maybe don't recognize the hardness of a developing kid.
Bedard is a prime example. He looks like he is still a few years away from shaving. Yet he seems to handle the traffic in front of the net really well. - spatso
