Yes and I have watched 57 games and counting. He looks great, not a sure thing for next year. Time will tell.
- jribout

No one said he is a sure thing next year.

Let his play decide, like every single player in the history of the NHL.

Tell me what exactly was JOEL Q. involvement in that fiasco? Do you know? From what I understand (limited) his involvement was very minor.
People are condemning him without even knowing exactly was was done.
It’s been years. He’s done his penalty time. There is a thing called FORGIVENESS. This is something the cancel culture know little about. We all are flawed. We all make mistakes. It’s not the unpardonable sin.

- leafersince62

Cancel culture.....wtf
If he knew anything and didn't report it hes culpable

Dropping your coffee or a keystroke on your taxes is a mistake.....not reporting someone being assaulted by someone else in a position of power is a criminal offense.
Its not my place to forgive him....

Oh and here I thought you were going to make a guarantee. Speaking of which who guaranteed Minten would be here past 10 games last year?

I said I thought he was going to stick around yes, based on his play in pre season. His play in the regular season sent him down.

So I will say once more, hopefully the final time so you can maybe finally comprehend this simple concept.

His play will decide what happens.

Would you take on the terrible PLD deal if it means you get Brandt Clarke? Maybe hope he bounces back.

Clarke could potentially be exactly what they need. Big, physical RHD. Excellent prospect pedigree. Huge point totals in the AHL last year so he can QB a powerplay. And he'll be dirt cheap for a few years.

Marner for Clarke and PLD.

- PlatosRepucklic

No, horrible.
The pld contract is terrible. The potential of clarke doesnt come close to negating how bad that contract has been.
Also, marner for 1 prospect and a cap dump is a gawd awful trade.

So....

I took the time to read the independent report on Brad Aldrich and the Chicago Blackhawks.

https://www.jenner.com/a/...key-team-october-2021.pdf

I have to admit I was a "Hell no to Quenneville" guy before reading it.

Now I'm not.

The report makes it clear that in the meeting, sexual assault was not discussed.

Whether or not senior management knew otherwise, it was presented to Quenneville (who joined the meeting late) that an incident of sexual harassment had occurred - an unwanted sexual advance.

Is it OK that the team didn't deal with this immediately? Hell no.

But having read the report, I do think that Quenneville at least has been adequately punished, considering it would not in any way be his job to deal with a case of sexual harassment. In an organization, HR lawyers would step in and deal with it.

Ok but what about the fact that he's a good coach and I'd rather see him somewhere else?
