On paper. I understood okposos and Erik Johnson signings.
I am not against any “veteran leadership” from a player who is physically shot - Sabretooth9

Too much for UPL
Joker - no thanks for that much. Let him go
Necas seems high for his current production |

Joker - I would let go / trade since he’s an RFA I am not paying my 3rd pairing d that much.
UPL - 2 years 4.5 mill bridge. Cant trust him
Necas - try to get him at 7 mill - I don’t mind paying him. |

You're assuming that they play him on the 3rd. Adams likes him. The kid had a good year.
You don't trust UPL, but Necas regressed 18 points this year after a 31 point jump the year before. |

None of these are one sided.
6/25 is the QO deadline. Not a ton of movement before that date, so they probably have to make a decision.
If Joker files for arb, his comps are not 3rd pair. They've never played him as one. Is anyone anxious to trade for him with a pending arb case?
UPL is 2 years from UFA, so I wouldn't consider that a bridge.

I can see that. Kid is solid. I think Johnson makes and sticks with this team, as well. There might not be room for a D man. |

I mean, I hope they upgrade the D. I'm just not holding my breath. I think they like their D and his focus is on the forwards. |

Joker had a very good January February. He fell off a cliff in March and pull Byram with him.
Samuelsson jumps back in the top 4 or Ryan Johnson over joker.
Necas is the kind of hockey player i want. Speed and skill. He’s a better tage. Watching him in playoffs he always had the puck and making plays.
Points regression is because he was taken off the PP and top line. (That’s where the rumor of him wanting out came from) |

it's a decent 4-7 group
I just think if your looking to have a cup contending team, you need a little better for your second pair than one of these 4

Duhhhhh. Joker also played with Byram for a majority of it. |

Joker's been a top 4 almost his entire 5 years here. I'm guessing his agent knows this.

If he wants 4+ mill. You move on. Trade or let him go. Pretty simple.
Joker doesn’t bring enough to get paid 4 mill a year. On a good team, he’s a 3rd d pair |

Or Byram fell off a cliff and pulled Joker with him...
Rod the Bod hated Skinner for a reason. There is obviously something to the fact that Necas was taken off those lines. |

Yeah, that's brilliant. Just let him walk 🙄 Guy plays 20 minutes a night. |

Definitely was joker. He was getting lazy and making some bad plays. His game went to poop.
One game I remember 5 bad plays from joker in a row. |

I said earlier. He’s an RFA. Tender him and trade.
Ryan Johnson and samualsson easily replace him.
No harm no foul. You gain an asset.
I’m not sure why you are so high on joker or think he’s so great.
Watch the playoffs. He isn’t skilled enough or a good enough puck mover to be in the top 4.
Heck Adams trades for Byram. He knows already joker isn’t it
Adams direct quote about trading for Byram was “ it’s not secret I have been looking for a top 4 defensemen.” |
