Well, I don't know what special means to anyone. But the way he plays the game, the offensive and defensive IQ, yeah, I think he'll be a a fan favorite. There's a 70 point player there who plays all situations. Any team in this league would be thrilled to have a piece like that.

Think the kid has got it, Sabres were a sh!t show on the Ice. And he survived and got better at the end of the Year. Get him a C that works as hard as him and who can shoot a bit and dish the puck some, and a pure shooter on the other W and I expect him to explode. He was a 18 year old kid not afraid to take a stick to the Head to go where he wanted. You can't Teach that.

Benson also exhibited rat like behavior the second half of the season as well, which is a plus.

Exactly, build your F@cking team right and him and JJ will explode. Get a good Hard working 3C, Get a guy(Trenin) who can add to your Team and go and punch someone in the face when Benson or JJ take that stick. I am confused on what they will do with the Defense so I won't say much on that for a bit.

i mean yeah, but benson is far and away the best player out of all of them, and was so the second he was drafted.

everyone knows they gotta move away from a few guys to make the team better. at least he admitted that himself.

I think he'll improve, just don't know how much until he does it. He could very well top out as a 3rd line puck hound, only time will tell. I think we need to pump the brakes on the extremes, he didn't suck by any means but isn't a savior either (yet anyways).

I dk, the comparisons to Bedard's rookie season GAR are too much for me. Bedard is in a different galaxy from Benny. But I do agree folks have been too hard on him and he was one of the few bright spots from last year.

they're 1 for 3 with picks 13, 14 and 15.

Sabres had 9, 16 and 28. I would definitely gamble on Buffalo.

Senyshen had 3 points in the NHL. Safe to say Matt Savoie and Jiri Kulich can beat that. Zboril has a few more than that, but is a flop as well. No doubt the talent level of our 3 beats out their 3. Could be a while before we see it all in the NHL tho
