Reinhart was brought up as a comp due to the backlash he got as a player but Reino also produced at a higher rate.

This team shouldn't have had rookie Zach Benson on the team this year - that's my whole point. Quinn got hurt and they replaced him with a rookie who put up 31 points. It's a fine rookie year but not what they needed and I'm not ready to say that he'll have 55-60 points next year (which is again what they need). It's probably more realistically in the ballpark of 40-45.

I'm getting the sense that people would be fine with rolling out peterka-cozens-benson again as a second line. I think they need an upgrade there

Quinn got hurt. They held on to Olofsson and paid Jost 2m. When they needed more depth, they traded for a guy who cleared waivers a month earlier.

The GM learned from the experience and vows to do better.

If they made a chart graphing Selection # and then Pts produced it would look like the average history of all other drafts..how friggin ironic that David Edstrom didn't play 60+ games and post 30 pts.
Their was only one outlier, that be Benson.

Now look at the top 20 "Rookie Scoring" for this past season. Their were exactly 2 from the last draft in that Rookie class....Bedard and, take a guess.

But the Sabres didn't make the playoffs, so Benson sucks ass as it was all his fault.
