He has been raving about the speed of the games (which is true in many, many of the games), while downplaying the physicality aspect (which again many, many of the games included...except TO that plays a wussy game just like the Sabres played the last 2 years ).
The clip of Necas scoring showed absolutely zero impact from his play in the clip, except for scoring when left completely al9ne in the highest danger area on the ice. Congrats I guess. He chased the player into the corner and hit him 1 sec after that player passed the puck up the boards, then circled to the net and received a golden pass from Martinook who did 90% of the heavy lifting..10% to Drury gor getting the puck to Martinook.
Wow what the hell did Necas do there that Sk8nner would have done?

There's nuance required when discussing the extremely broad topic of "what makes a 'good' player in the year of our lord 2024", in the playoffs.
What I can definitely tell you is no one wins without a strong group of role players and a strong group of skill players and great goalie play.
I would take both Necas and Martinook for the right price - Buff36
Nice thing about being an NHL team is that you have scouts and can make some phone calls. Just saying that the Necas situation raises some concerns that I'd want to know more about before making a big move.
>>> So let me throw out a trade package: 11th overall, 2025 second-round pick, and Peyton Krebs. If they don’t want Krebs, add in Isak Rosen or Noah Ostlund. The Lightning can select a B-tier prospect to replace the 2025 second-round pick if they so desire.

“ We talk internally almost every day,’’ Zito told FHN on Tuesday morning. “For me, in my own head, there are lots of sleepless nights doing math in my head. Lots of times, I get up in the middle of the night and grab an Excel spreadsheet saying ‘will this work? What about this?’ There are just so many moving parts.”
“But I am positive. I do not think it is crazy for me to think that good players want to play here. Guys know they can make more money somewhere else — but not that much more.’’
(Besides rhino and Montour) “The Panthers also have a number of other players such as Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Kevin Stenlund, Dmitry Kulikov, Ryan Lomberg, Steven Lorentz, Kyle Okposo, and Vladimir Tarasenko who are free agents following this season.”
