I so miss the Thursday concert series, even at Canalside. It wasn't the same but still a great summertime activity. Can't believe how many great shows I saw for free when it was at the square.
Anyone with half a brain knew the outer harbor location was a bad idea just for the traffic, but they did it anyways. Then they reduced the number of tickets to sell there due to, you guessed it, traffic
- Frizzlefry
It was truly a gem. Such a cool intimate spot in the heart of the city

Adams is in NYC now, to convince Okposo to sign with Buffalo again while he's playing in the playoffs!
My sauce said Adams is constructing a custom bubble machine for him to close the deal.
All the plans will change once Benson is 20 years old, Adams is desperate to get this done while Benson is a teenager, he needs to learn from the greats. - washedup20

I'm with all this, but doubt TB moves on from Jeannot. They paid a boat load to the Preds for him and he just hasn't returned to his rookie year form since. That would be an ultimate buy low, not sure they'd be willing to swap him out for scraps or as an add in. - QuinnFan
Why on Tampa being hesitant to get rid of Jeannot?
He's set to become a UFA after the upcoming season, and he's been at least partially disappointing for them.

same.
our premier D pool needs work. With barely enough long term room for the likes of Rosen, Kulich and Savoie, I could care less about adding another winger.
Use it on a D or a trade. Trade 1st. - TheSabresTaco
It is exhausting reading Twitter posts about how the Sabres have no need on defense and are set for a long time.
Just no comprehension about how players can be assets, whether at the NHL lever or prospects. |

Give Adams credit, he got Z to take a hair cut to make sure Okposo gets $6.75mm next year - leadership cost money.

The entire damn waterfront is green and brown space. It doesn’t generate anything for the city in revenue.
There is nothing wrong with green space, if you know it was used for more than 4 months a year. You need green space yes, but not that much.
This city has an asset that very few have and we have one actual restaurant on the water.
It’s terrible. - ImThatGuy

Personally, I still think Stammer is moving on, but who knows. I'm sure they want him to retire a Bolt. - QuinnFan
I think he wants to retire a Lightning enough that he'll take a series of one year deals at a much lower pay rate to help the team out. |

Stamkos can train with whoever, doesn't surprise me. Doesn't mean Tampa can come up with enough change to make him stay. - QuinnFan
Not saying this is the way they are thinking or not, but does present the argument in another light...
If you believe your window is open for 2-3 more years maximum, would you rather retain:
- 40G , 1.0 PPG regular season and 1.20 PPG Playoff performer who wears a C, and who walks for nothing as a UFA
Or
- 20G, 0.55 PPG regular season and 0.40 PPG PO performer
Tampa has Cirelli's replacent on board with Paul at 3C, or Stamkos at 2C...they don't have a replacement for Stamkos.
If you're building for the longterm, a different argument presents itself...I don't think they are there yet. |

Interesting. Im not sure about any of that lol
As far as recreational space goes I think they've done a decent job and are continuing to add to the outer harbor. I love being down by the water and the city should make as much access as possible. Canalside is nice too but I feel its becoming a bit crammed as well
Theyve ruined the concert series though. I started going for shows on Thursdays when it was still at the square and knew it would never be the same when they moved it to Canalside. It was solid for a few years there too but now its totally done for. 60 70 80 bucks to see maybe 1 or 2 shows a summer at the new outer harbor place is not what im into. Used to be a weekly attendee no matter who was playing
The city has alienated the people who made that possible in the first place - ieetbred
The renderings for the Ralph Wilson Centennial Park (formerly LaSalle Park) look terrific. The new pedestrian bridge over the 190 is going in this fall once it's done being fabricated in Germany and then the actual park construction happens next year. It's going to be a really nice addition to the waterfront |

It's not so much if they want him, but whether he's okay taking a massive discount and short term deal to stay. I've stepped off wanting him in Buffalo, too expensive and not enough impact, there are better options. But any team would offer him more than $3.8M on a 1YR to come barring the cap space nightmare teams. - QuinnFan

Its also true that the waterfront is not really a nice place to be 6 months out of the year. Unless it isn't windy its cold and miserable |

Known as Riparian Buffers. More prevalent in what are considered High Quality/Exceptional Value watersheds. I do not know what classification the Niagara River is, but fairly certain there is a pretty large water treatment plant inlet somewhere in Grand Island maybe? i toured it when i was at UB. I'm not familiar with NY Permitting, but Riparian Buffers for HQ/EV watersheds in the Commonwealth of PA are required to be 150' in width. Riparian Buffers are appropriate for habitat and water quality along water bodies. Redevelopment sites are locations to take advantage of waterfront development because whatever you're putting in is probably an improvement from what exists today. You are correct. - Hatboro_Swords
There isn't a required width. There's a required size based on the sw you're treating.
Suggestions are to keep 75' buffers. Niagara Falls is not "Impaired". |
