I am more worried about power than byram - homiedclown
I am worried about them all, I can't understand why Wilford was brought back. Hopefully it was Granato holding him back |

Yes an extremely talented puck moving young defenseman isn’t going to fit in the nhl game in 2024.
He’s only 22 - Sabretooth9
I remember this exact same thing was said about Joker when we traded for him. Weird. It's almost as if my comparison was a 1st round, undersized defenseman that is coveted in prospect circles but has yet to put together any kind of meaningful stretch of hockey in his career.

with an average coach byram puts up 40 points a year moving forward
it would be a wet dream for joker to sniff 25 points a year - homiedclown
I dare you to go back and read the blog when we traded for Joker and the ensuing 2 years of Joker circle-jerk that most people on here, including the few Hawks fans that chimed in, were a part of.
Sometimes you have a really good claw hammer when you need a serviceable ball-peen hammer. Byram is the really nice die-cast claw hammer with the rubber grip. Jokiharju turned out to be a tack hammer that someone picked up and thought was a ball-peen hammer, probably a woman.
What we need is a nice ball-peen hammer. I have a ton of them in Fallout 4 right now. They're everywhere. Samuelsson is a ball-peen hammer but it has a crack down the handle and is gorilla-glued together with a duct tape grip. |

So you would’ve traded Dahlin at age 22?
Are you trading power at 21?
Both are busts? - Sabretooth9
9th highest cap hit in the NHL ($11m) and had 59 points with a -3 last year. No one's ready to have that conversation yet though |

I would take him for the right price, players fit Teams differently. Sabres really can't be picky because they will be Lucky to have any say YES! - Buff36
That sounds like a we'll take anything approach. |

I'd want nothing to do with kind of term, not to mention the $. Run away. - Lunaion
We know they're going to have to likely overpay in both AAV and term for an FA.
If you aren't to do one or both, at least to some degree, you're left shopping for Clifton again.
At some point, they need to get out of shopping in the clearance section.
It's why making trades are so important. |

2 years ago he was 10th in Selke Voting, he averages about 60pts a Season. He's 54% on the Dot, he's not afraid to throw a hit. He had a off year compared to his Usual last year. Yes I think he could help our Hockey Team. |

Wouldn't love it and 3 years would cause some problems, but it's not terrible.
They'll never get that deal though.
UFA should not be their focus. |

Caring about 3 years from now should be over when every other good team figures out the cap as they go.
There's going to be a ton of suitors for Monahan?
That AAV is over his projection. |

Underlyings say he’s worth every penny.
Him only having 59 points has more to do with the team having poor shooting luck with him on the ice and the fact the PP was dog 💩 |
