He was a top 10 (even top 5 at one point) goalie in both GAA and SV% before he got injured. If there is a criticism of Woll, it's that he can't seem to stay healthy. - Whipper
He’s started a whopping 34 games in the NHL and he’s 25. A 3rd round pick.

He’s played in 7 career playoff games. 7.

Woll has shown enough in his play to suggest that you don’t need to blow the bank (use Marner in a trade) for Saros. He’s not been healthy enough long enough to suggest you just need an adequate backup (Jones type). I’d like to see them pick up someone who would put up a real fight for the net. From what I’ve seen and heard from Jets analysts, Broissoit could the type. There are certainly others. |

I think you’re putting too much emphasis on his starts coming back from injury. I think Leafs beat the Bruins if he had played more. |

If there was a deal for a good #1 in his twilight years I'd be cool with that ..it'd give Woll a year or two to share the net and push the old bugger out.

He also had a similar patch first half as well. Inconsistent streaky…. Like a backup. He’s great being spotted in lineup. Again like a backup to me. He can’t carry the load.

Also that’s what to expect then - coming back from injury numbers because he will always be coming back from injury |

I think the thing with Saros is you know he is a #1. He also allows more time for Woll to develop playing in that tandem while we also develop the Beast in the AHL. If Berube has a window and shelf life of 3-4 seasons then let him have the proven starter in there with Woll backing up taking a good number of starts. At that point and by that time we are going to wind up transitioning with coach, roster etc anyways and hopefully if all goes well you wind up with Woll/Hildebeast as the pairing and Saros retires out. |

I think this is the fire some of our players need to get to the next level. - Whipper
Just for poops n giggles ...it's an old quote ...

Berube was asked recently which player he'd allow a daughter to marry, and he didn't waste anytime saying "Parayko."

- Roadrunner75
I agree.

Also if they have Saros, Woll and Hildabeast all playing at NHL caliber in a few years that is a good thing. Deal one for a weakness. |

I would say re-sign Domi and Bertuzzi, then look at Necas if he does become available and fix the back end with perhaps Montour or Theodore and Pesce. Could maybe move out Kampf and fit in a guy like Paryako on bottom pair even? Not sure on maths there but... have to figure Rielly and Marner would def have to go at this point

Marner insta-waives his NMC - Whipper
Berube is a perfect coach for Marner.

Mitch brings it each and every game. Accountable at both ends of the rink.

It’s pretty boy perimeter Willy who won’t last half a season.

I can’t wait for next year.
