Everyone going on about Bouchard better than Hughes, put Hughes with that top line of the oilers and I think he would do quite well š - Bettmanhatesus
Heās also insulated with Ekholm. With McD running the PP itās easier than Hughes being the QB. |

Lafferty and Mikey should replace Aman and Pods. They would both bring a lot of energy and speed to game 7. |

He has not had a good playoff IMO.
I also agree Hughes gets lesser criticism but has been involved in more scoring in the PO so far. Hronek got his first point last night and the teams low shot count every game is hard to understand. - VANTEL
Petey has been off for awhile for whatever reason.
Hughes has been targeted as expected. The Oil are going 2 deep taking away his options not allowing Hughes to skate it out. Hronek has been a stationary outlet & not adding much at all. Break outs have suffered with poor execution with the left boards outlet squeezed. Up the middle hasnāt been there either with their D clogging it up. Leaves the ring around to the right.
Overall not clean enough & too static playing patiently. Oil turning it into a neutral zone turnover & going into transition winning most of the puck battles. Garland seems to be the only F able to drive play. It all adds to tilted ice & low shot totals. |

Wonder if RT is thinking of putting likker in? He said heās not afraid to swing the bat. |

Lafferty I agree. Aman is ok but gives no offence & not that physical. Miky is injured I think.
Oil bottom 6 have picked it up & we need to reverse that trend. Expose their D & Skinner to win. Need a total team buy in again. |

I ask you is it offence we lack or as I say the inability to break out clean? The PP is itās own mess. |

The PP needs a shake upā¦
Garland in for Petey. Waterbug. Our best in zone entries. He does the perimeter cycle that McD does. Have to open it up finding seams & not the static look & make the Oil move more. Miller left side as usual & Hughes solo on the point. Brock net front. Lindholm & Miller on the draws. Have to win them to get better possession. Get off shots more often & crash for any rebounds. Miller especially has to rip it & Boeser less tentative. Skinner isnāt good enough to need great chances. |

On D our only threats are Hughes & Z. Myers can add to it but cannot hit the net & also waits too long & shots blocked. Hronek same thing Cole adds nothing. Soucy isnāt all that bad at getting off shots here & there need some more if traffic in Skinners eyes.
Overall much too complacent letting rip right away. Even Hughes looking for the perfect opening. When crashing the net D could shoot wide if no lane & go for tips or board rebounds. Faster decisions. |

That was a tough one, but as we have seen in these playoffs there is no carry over of momentum. I feel like they will bring their best on Monday. Silovs is looking a bit slower reacting and I would not be surprised if DeSmith starts. I don't expect it but would not surprise me. Z was quieter than he's been for the rest of the series so far, I think he brings a huge game on Monday. Hoglander getting the goal was big for him as well. I am good with Petey back at Centre for game 7. I feel like the Oilers just gave all they had and the Canucks had zero desperation.
In the moments of games where the Canucks have played desperate the Oilers haven't responded. Game 7's are the fun of it all so we should sit back and enjoy and let them give us another memory! |

Agree with most of this except that Oil gave it their all. They didnāt have to the Canucks made it easy for them. However, everything did break their way and Canucks had no answer.
So it is all rebound and pound time for game 7.

The Oil did give it their all. We didnāt respond & match their work rate. They out skated out worked & won many more puck battles. Too many passengers who didnāt rise up & come to play. Add in sloppy play & we were handed a big lesson in what it takes to win a PO series. Got schooled badly.
Game 7 is lay it all on the line nothing left in the tank. Anything less wonāt get it done. |

Like I said itās a conspiracy theory but itās there for everyone to read. That phrase was created to deflect you from the truth thatās why they use it so much, everytime I hear It I look into it to see if itās true and it usually is. |

Canucks can still win just need the right players to step up with Boeser out.
Petey, Hughes, Hronek, you know...the 'passengers' lol
Time for the bottom 6 to shine. Get Mik and Lafferty back in.
Here we go. |
