One signing we're not getting is Goucher. They offered and he passed. Too late😢

agree about the closing sentence..need more offensive upside from the defense..Love Chuck, but need a guy who will shoot more or at least get pucks to the net

The #NHLBruins    have acquired forward Mark Kastelic, goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, and a 2024 first-round draft pick (25th overall) from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for goaltender Linus Ullmark.

It would appear Bruins don't think Bussy is ready or they could be flipping Korpi

Kastelic tough young kid, 25th pick and a goalie they can flip isn’t a bad return with their limited options..

Horrendous deal. Korpisalo is terrible, contract is unmoveable. Would have rather just kept Ullmark honestly.

Donny just took it right up the 5-hole. Ullmark didn’t have to be traded …

Really don’t like it much. We do need the pick, but 4 more years for Korpisalo at 4 per is it? He’ll most likely show himself to be a decent goalie in Boston, if he stays?? Does he plan on flipping him?

The prospect of having 11-12 mil in net is puzzling. I didn’t expect a great return, it’s reasonable if you don’t factor in the 4 mil backup thing.

Donnie doesn’t have stones to move Sway too does he? Now that would be spicy.
If a really upscale forward is involved I’d be onboard

I didn’t realize that Jonnis was that old and that poopty. Thought he was a younger prospect. Not a good return

Thoughts on the trade..some upside but taking on that contract seems puzzling

Gonna wait until next couple of weeks to see if any other movement from this trade..I.e. Korpi traded and $ retained etc..

Who knows🤷‍♀️

He just had no leverage with Linus. It’s not THAT bad. Not saying it’s a good trade but I guess I’d rather have what we got than keep him and Sway. Korpi had some strong runs when he had a decent team in front of him. 25th not a throwaway and maybe the 4th liner will add some much needed gusto and tude.

Yeah this is where I’m at as well. My guess is they will play Korpi as backup and increase his trade value and flip him during the season due to an injury or something or at the deadline. All contingent on Bussi playing well, then they extend him and he is promoted to NHL club.

Yeah that’s a good call. Almost guaranteed Korp will be ‘better’ here than in Ottawa and hopefully much better, making him a possible cheap starter for someone. The goalie carousel is kind of comical when you really look at it. It’s unlikely but possible he could make himself inexpendable. Korp for Vezina!

The trade as is, as it stands right now is brutal. They didn’t need to trade Ullmark. They probably shouldn’t have for the return.

Sweeney will piss the pick away on a “longshot” and we don’t need more bottom 6 ”talent”.

Just doesn’t make sense unless they’ve got some thing else up their sleeve.

You're right they could've traded Swayman😁
And I hear Senyshen's kid brother is out thee somewhere.
Ol Donnie definitely has something cooking all right but it's hard to imagine it involving Korpisalo.

2 of the best available for what they needed.

Need a 2R now and then I’m pretty happy. Merkulov and Lysell should get a chance at it.

Could have skipped the depth signings, bought out (or avoided entirely) Korpisalo, and we would have been able to keep Jake or bring back Bertuzzi. That stings a little.

Good day for Donny

Yeah going to need some scoring but solid day so far. Brought in a big kid from Colorado too. Got some size and depth
