Oh I’m sure someone out there could be persuaded.

Persuading Engvall is a whole other thing.

For a second? That’s a tough sell for six years of that dude. Thats a lot of money and he (frank)ing sucks.

Not for just a 2nd, no.

Wait… do the Islanders now have three 2nds in 2024, or just two?

I don’t know and I’m not looking it up. 😆

Either way I think if we continue to trade assets to get rid of contracts we don’t want it probably wouldn’t be a good idea. There has to be a time when the guy signing these contracts has to take a bit of heat.

Don't see the upside here for the Blackhawks, especially in a supposedly weak draft. Maybe it's reparations for the Bailey trade? We did send them a 2nd to take him off our hands.

Obviously the Hawks have a pick they want and to make sure it’s there they gave up a 2nd to make sure they get him.
For the Isles the 1st round movement means nothing so they gain an asset.
Dare I say good move Lou?

To move up 2 spots a month before the draft? How do they know their guy wouldn't be there at 20 at this point? I'm not saying it's a bad move by Lou. I just don't see the upside for Chicago.
Edit: They still have two second rounders (to go along with 2 firsts) after this trade so I guess they figured it was worth it. The Bailey trade was him and a second for future considerations. Maybe this is them.

Have to say I was completely wrong about the Rangers. Thought the cats would be in the drivers seat. That trouba elbow directly to Rodrigues head should warrant a suspension. But because it’s the Rangers, likely won’t.
