Florida is the more complete team and it showed tonight. A couple of bounces and posts go our way and we win the game. Rangers will need to be opportunistic with a little luck to win this series

That’s why these games are still a coin toss. Florida team defense and forecheck is great but they just executed and got the bounces. Their offense wasn’t a thing special imo. Rangers have to be better at getting the puck out of their zone and dumping it for the forecheck. Sit Roslovic and play Rempe next game

Positive spin, rangers didn’t play great and were a shot away from sending that game to overtime late in the 3rd
- TPC

Florida controlled game play, no question. If any other positive it was that most of their shots were not high danger. One was Barkov down low that Igor got a glove on. Down 1-0 in third, Rangers carried play for a few minutes. That style of play should be the template. Laf had half a net to shoot at and hit post. Schneider hit post on breakaway. Bob was the better goalie tonight. The Panthers are going to forecheck like mad, need to be quicker with the puck and decisions. Concerned about Fox as he is still not right. Overall, rough loss but they were this close to tying the game.

It's interesting how FLD never gets any penalties.

I think Bruins had double the number of penalties during our series with the Panthers.

Interference doesn’t exist I guess
- picklerick

No worries… they wont let the rangers’ interference go all game.

I said a few weeks ago, at some point u need secondary scoring from ur bottom 6 to make a deep playoff run. I was told I was being “negative”. It’s just a fact. Another fact is that Vesey brings nothing to this team and Rempe’s energy could’ve helped here.

And how 5v5 is underrated!!!

I'm not worried, yet! This is more adversity that will need to be overcome. Much like
Game 6 vs Carolina. I expect a much better effort tomorrow.

I think we all knew Florida was going to be a bigger challenge than anyone else they've faced (or could face if they get through this series). That being said, I consider this a 1 to nothing loss. That 2nd goal was uncharacteristic of Shesty. Game 2 will be different.

The eye test said (I wear glasses mind you) the Panthers were very physical and man handled the Rangers last night. They play a very heavy game. Maybe play Wheeler and Rempe and see what happens.

Yup. Adjustments will be made and the Rags still have the best goalie in the world. No panic......yet.

Rangers have to be better against their forecheck. For the lack of offense throughout the game by both teams, the rangers had chances to win this thing. Florida executed and the rangers didn’t

Can we score on a breakaway for once? Holy.

The only move our entire team has that seems to work on them is the kreider forehand backhand deke.

Also need wennberg to be able to score. Or kakko or chytil. But that line has got to contribute something or we ain't lifting the mug

Bottom 6 need to contribute on the scoreboard. The top 2 lines can only do so much.

Their defense hand forecheck was great. Didn’t think they did much onnoffense. Just executed better than ny and Bob was better than Igor

No doubt Florida is good. They're big, strong, fast on the puck, and play an uptempo game.

However, I don't really feel like they did anything that noteworthy yesterday that will be to difficult to overcome for the Rangers.

The first goal is just a bad one that I am sure Shesty wanted back. Second one very uncharacteristic shit play by him again causing the own goal

The Rangers had their chances and didnt bury. Two breakaways. some other golden chances. Gotta bury one or two of those in the ECF. We no doubt needed more pressure 5x5 too.

Rempe has to play. Florida did look stronger. I think having him in changes the outlook of the game and also changes the atmosphere in MSG. It was quiet at times yesterday and Rempe could have easily changed the momentum. Roslovic or Vesey can sit. Move Chytil to the 1 line winger spot

I have plenty of faith in this team. I think we see a much more spirited effort on Friday. It seemed like the entire game both teams were feeling each other out waiting for the opposing team to make a mistake

^THIS! First goal I’m sure Igor wants back Laffy tips the second in his own net third an empty net. Did Florida dominate large stretch’s of the game Absolutely but we were still in it the entire game make a few adjustments and move forward! Next game is a lot more pressure having lost last night but let’s see how they respond.
