What would you say the odds are that Toronto applies common sense and makes a move or two to improve their dmen capability before signing keeping Marner, Tavares and Domi?

IF the Hawks draft at #18 Boisvert would be a very good option.

I think KD will trade that pick for immediate help (ie Necas).

So KD has to rationalize which had greater benefit: the ceiling reached of the #18 selection or possibly overpayment for Necas or someone else. The team is not expecting to make the playoffs and more kids will be getting a look, perhaps even a job so I wouldn’t overpay much for Necas

I have a sneaking suspicion that both Nazar and Hayes are going to start helping the offense perform better although maybe not from the very first game as far as Hayes

Will add this: I realize the team needs to add quality NHl forwards at minimum second line offense calibre. If not Necas then surely KD finds someone yet may be only a short term type add say 1-2 years. And what about AA returning BTW?

I just read that The Blackhawks are the only original 6 team not to have won 3,000 games. As a matter of fact, they are below .500 in all time wins and losses. Let's hope KFC plans to rectify that.

They had their chance from 2009 to 2016 but decided to construct teams full of euro pussies and lavender sniffers who didn’t fight and never out hit their opponents. And to make matters worse they traded away all their prospects and draft picks under the guise of trying to win championships.

Different GM, His Calgary teams were nothing like the Leafs team. He hired Berube as coach. He wasn’t a lavender sniffer as a player, nor were the teams he coached Lavender Sniffers.

There are four good teams playing for the Stanley Cup and I am enjoying the games, though I would like to see some more scoring. That said, I can't wait until the off season begins to see how teams remake their rosters.

Tavares looked good at the Worlds. I think he was 60% on faceoffs. Tavares and Toronto’s first or Easton Cowen for Reese Johnson, fourth round pick and a roll of tape. Git er done KD!
