He literally wants out of Carolina because he is slotted at 2C. This and daddy is the reason not to want this player, hard pass as we want guys that just want to win imo - neem55

Necas will get around 8ish so will Hronek. With cap going up players that are at the end of rfa are gonna take a swing. Who would you rather have for 8 years. Whoever gets signed becomes a core guy |

Silly season already started with rumors of trades and signings. Canucks are being linked all over.
It gets real after whoever of the final four raises the Cup. So sad everyone chases and then misses and starts all over again. I guess that is what the ride is all about. |

I don't really follow the rumor mill, can you elaborate on who the Canucks are linked to?
Just ignore the mouth pieces and the rednecks and the wacked out conspiracy idiots, nothing wrong with your posts, theirs are |

Not aimed at you but you guys are nuts if you want Necas at 8 mil.
He has once hit 70 pts. He is not a value contract at all. It is okay to trade Hronek and get the draft picks and cap space to find a proper deal.

My guess is obvious that PA has already identified which to resign by priority. The Guentzel sweepstakes will take awhile so he has no choice to prioritize resignings 1st while they are still under contract til July 1st while keeping enough cap for a key top 6 winger. Trading would heat up after UFA season open like usual.
What we don’t know is if he projects any prospects on elc’s to make the roster. That dynamic alone could make for a huge offseason combined with how well he does on extensions. |

My ACGM used your example. Gives great cap flexibility. |

Joshua came from the AHL. He was a STL prospect and Canucks got to see him play quite a bit when they joined together with STL during the covid year with the same AHL franchise. There are some good AHL prospects of very good value. CGY are great at finding these types of players. Some very good grit in that league and cheap. Canucks have not had too much success bringing in those types of players.
Go find this years Joshua.

For sure. My roster has Hronek traded for a 1st & 2nd if his ask is north of 7m. Resign Myers at 3m Tanev 2/5m for the right side. Z is a huge must say 5or6/5.25m. D Petey makes it as 3rd pair D. Cole at 1m or less as a 7th D. A UFA RHD to round it out.
Could resign EL @6.5m maybe to leave enough for say Debrusk for Petey. Also means Leki makes the team. Joshua around 3m. |

Lindholm at 29yrs old probably looking for his last big pay day.
Starts with at min 5yrs or more. Open market maybe he gets 7.5-8m max but a lesser chance it’s from a contender. My 6.5m would be a low ball market wise but Swedes are not all greedy & the shave to stay here if he sees great potential & luvs Van is possible.
On Z hopefully a similar situation on a lesser number. On Myers I fully expect a home town discount. |

They need to retain at least one of them.

Big D is a must all the rest will follow. It had a big impact all season long & in the playoffs. PA had a good season remaking the D & don’t see him going away from it as a foundation. |

Was actually an exciting game
Canada had like 4 short handed breakaways in the game. Couldn't finish |

On Hronek I don’t see PA moving him after the price he paid to get him. Got him for the reason for his offence & RHD needs looking longer term. Yes I offer him up in fantasy ACGM’s for the fun of it.
Looking beyond the next season cap wise & what happens in the following year or 2 where it really gets real. Contending now is one thing but it’ll be an automatic then.
Demko & Silovs in net looks like a given. Big D & some prospects ready to impact on the cheap.
This offseason is a crux point of a large magnitude to build on what this season started. |

I look at Dallas as a model that PA will try to emulate. NYR in a similar way. |

I would be shocked if Hronek agreed to a contract in Vancouver.
